Best Options Flow Scanner: Pineify Market Insights Dashboard
Pineify Market Insights combines options-flow alerts, Market Tide, off-exchange trade records and congressional disclosures in one dashboard. It can help organize a research shortlist, but it does not reveal every institution's positions or establish that a reported trade predicts the next price move.
For someone comparing options flow scanners, the important questions are what records the tool returns, when they become available, how sentiment is inferred and which filters fit the intended workflow. This review describes the current Pineify implementation and its limits, rather than claiming measured trading performance.

What the four modules actually show
| Module | Available research information | What it cannot establish by itself |
|---|---|---|
| Options Flow | Filtered option alerts, contract details, premium and execution-side context | Trader identity, complete portfolio intent or every market trade |
| Market Tide | Net call/put premium series, sector views and impact rankings | A guaranteed market direction or independent confirmation of the same underlying flow |
| Dark Pool | Returned trade records, size categories and price-versus-quote labels | All off-exchange activity, confirmed accumulation or a defended support level |
| Congress Trading | Provider-supplied transaction disclosures and member views | A live order feed, exact portfolio size or evidence of illegal insider trading |
Pineify obtains these records through its Unusual Whales integration. The provider's documentation describes options flow, dark pool, Congress and Market Tide datasets. The dashboard's returned records and filters still determine what you see; a provider offering a broad dataset does not mean every dashboard request retrieves it all.
Options Flow: build a shortlist and inspect the contract
Start with a ticker or a small research universe. Use premium and days-to-expiration filters to reduce the results to contracts relevant to your holding period. Advanced filters include size, volume, open interest, volume/OI ratio, execution-side percentages and provider rule categories.
Pineify offers quick premium filters such as $500,000 and $1 million. These are interface thresholds, not validated cutoffs for profitable or informed trades. A fixed dollar threshold can favor expensive contracts and large-cap names while excluding activity that is unusual relative to a smaller underlying's normal volume.
Expand a row to inspect the contract identifier, recent prints and ask/bid premium mix. Greeks and implied volatility are displayed when the returned contract-flow data contain them. They are model-derived contract sensitivities; they do not prove the original trader's intent or necessarily describe the exact instant of the summarized alert.
Read execution-side labels as inference
An option print near the ask may be consistent with aggressive buying; one near the bid may be consistent with aggressive selling. Quote timing, spreads and multi-leg execution can complicate that interpretation. A midpoint print does not establish that an institution negotiated the trade.
The option type matters. Buying a put is not the same directional exposure as buying a call. Pineify's bullish/bearish labels combine option type with the share of premium classified on the ask or bid side. These labels are derived classifications, not observations of a customer's complete holdings.
A sweep label describes execution-related activity across venues. It does not identify the customer, prove advance knowledge of news, or establish whether the trade is opening, closing or hedging another position. Compare premium, expiry, strike and the surrounding prints before interpreting it.
Refresh timing: check the observation time
As checked on October 20, 2026, the active Options Flow view requests updates every 60 seconds. The shared polling behavior pauses when the page is inactive and requests an update when it becomes active again. There is also a manual refresh control.
That cadence is not a guaranteed market-to-screen latency. Provider timing, server caching, network delays and errors can all affect freshness. The dashboard's refresh timestamp tells you when a request completed; the individual record's timestamp tells you when its event was recorded. Check both.
The Dark Pool view has a 30-second polling interval. Market Tide's main series uses 60 seconds, sector ETF data 180 seconds and impact rankings 120 seconds. Congress uses a much slower update schedule appropriate to disclosures. Different panels should not be treated as a synchronized, subsecond stream.
Market Tide: distinguish totals from conclusions
Market Tide displays provider-supplied net call and net put premium series. Pineify calculates its directional net measure as net call premium minus net put premium and derives descriptive sentiment labels from those values. This is not simply total call turnover minus total put turnover, and it is not a survey of traders' beliefs.
The sector view includes 11 sector ETFs. Use it to compare the displayed groups, then check the selected date, window and availability of each series. An ETF view and a constituent-stock view need not represent the same basket of trades.
Impact rankings identify large contributors under the provider's calculation. They do not show that the same institutions are building positions in every highlighted stock. A positive premium measure can coexist with a hedge, a roll or an offsetting position elsewhere.
Options Flow and Market Tide can summarize overlapping options activity. Agreement between them should not be counted as two independent experiments proving a directional forecast.
Dark Pool: trade records, not hidden investor identities
Off-exchange trading is broader than dark-pool trading. FINRA's OTC transparency framework distinguishes ATS and non-ATS activity. A blanket percentage of equity volume should not be relabeled as institutional dark-pool accumulation.
Pineify's current Dark Pool view provides summary cards, filters, a trade table and a detail panel. Its size categories use reported dollar value: large starts at $100,000, block at $1 million and mega at $5 million. These are product categories, not a universal exchange definition based on 10,000 shares.
The displayed buy/sell side is inferred by comparing the trade price with the midpoint of supplied bid and ask values. Every transaction has both a buyer and seller; that heuristic does not reveal which party opened a position or whether either party intends to defend the price later.
The current module does not provide the volume-profile or point-of-control visualization formerly described here. You can inspect prices and repeated activity in the returned records, but a repeated price is not proof of support, resistance or an unfilled institutional order.
Congress: align the disclosure date with the trade date
The Congress view supports ticker and name research, party/chamber filters, transaction direction and member details. Its statistics summarize the returned dataset. A hottest-ticker count is not a complete measure of Congress's holdings or net invested dollars.
The House Ethics Committee explains that reportable transactions must generally be disclosed within 30 days of awareness and no later than 45 days after the transaction. The rule applies to covered transactions and has reporting requirements and exceptions; it is not a promise that a dashboard receives every trade immediately.
Pineify retrieves disclosure records through a data provider rather than scraping each House and Senate filing directly for each page view. Amounts may be reported in ranges, ownership may involve a spouse or dependent, and amendments can change an earlier report. Inspect the original filing for consequential research.
The interface's delay and late-report indicators are prompts for verification, not legal findings. Party labels depend on available classification data and can be incomplete. Neither a delayed report nor a committee role proves misconduct or a repeatable investment advantage.
Combine the views without inventing confirmation
A practical research sequence is:
- Record the ticker, event timestamp, contract, expiry, premium and selected filters for an options alert.
- Compare the broader premium context over the same period, noting overlap with the alert's source data.
- Inspect off-exchange prints as separate transactions without assigning an unknown buyer's identity.
- Treat congressional filings on their public disclosure date, not as if they were known on the earlier transaction date.
- Write a falsifiable hypothesis and the conditions under which you would reject it.
For a hypothetical stock XYZ, a call alert, positive sector premium and a recently published purchase disclosure might justify further research. They do not establish four independent bullish signals or guarantee that following the trade will profit. A prospective log should include cases that fail as well as memorable successes.
Pineify's Strategy Optimizer tests supported TradingView strategy configurations. It does not automatically import these dashboard records as a historical Pine dataset. Testing a flow-driven idea requires timestamped historical observations, availability at the decision time and an appropriate execution model.
Compare competing scanners on verified features
Unusual Whales documents flow, dark pool, congressional data and Market Tide. FlowAlgo explicitly offers equity blocks and dark-pool prints. It would be inaccurate to mark these capabilities absent in a comparison table.
Compare the actual package you would buy: eligible symbols, historical access, filters, alert delivery, update method, export rights and price. Do not infer that a provider's separate pages imply separate paid subscriptions, or that a unified interface has better data accuracy.
Pineify's distinguishing workflow is access to Market Insights alongside its Pine tools and Trading Journal. That can reduce navigation between research and recordkeeping. It does not demonstrate superior latency, predictive accuracy or profitability against competitors.
Access and pricing
The current product requires Expert or a higher eligible plan for full Market Insights access. Consult the current Pineify pricing page and checkout for the payment period, included features and limits. Historical promotional prices are not current offers, and access to one module does not imply unlimited use of every AI service or every future product.
Questions about the dashboard
Is Pineify Options Flow an instantaneous feed?
No subsecond delivery guarantee is established. The active view currently polls every 60 seconds, with additional provider, cache and network timing. Check event and refresh timestamps before using a record.
Does high premium prove an institutional directional trade?
No. Premium describes transaction size. Customer identity, opening versus closing status and offsetting positions may be unknown. Calls and puts can participate in spreads, hedges or rolls.
Are the Congress records live trade instructions?
No. They are delayed disclosures returned through a provider. Verify the transaction date, filing date, owner and amount range in the underlying report.
Can the dashboard execute or automatically backtest a discovered trade?
The research views do not establish an automatic execution or historical flow-backtesting workflow. Define the intended rule, collect suitable data and verify the capabilities of the separate testing or brokerage system.
