TradingView AI Screener: features, limits and alternatives

TradingView AI Screener is a public-beta setup assistant for TradingView Stock Screener. It turns a plain-language request into existing filters, columns and table sorting. It is a faster way to configure a screen, not a new prediction model or a custom filter engine.

Pineify is not affiliated with TradingView. Product details can change while the TradingView feature remains in beta.

How the TradingView AI Filter works

One prompt configures the whole screen

The feature handles the setup work around a screen. You can still inspect and edit the filters after it finishes.

Maps prompts to standard filters

The AI reads a plain-language request and applies matching filters already available in TradingView Stock Screener.

Builds the result table

It selects a relevant column set, adds missing columns and switches to the table view when needed.

Sorts the screen

The result is sorted around the main metric in the prompt, such as putting the highest dividend yields first.

Explains each choice

The Explanation view shows why filters, columns and sorting rules were applied.

Public-beta limits

These boundaries come from TradingView's announcement. Check the official page again before making a plan or workflow decision.

  • The public beta works in Stock Screener only. TradingView says more asset classes may follow.
  • The launch announcement makes it available on paid plans. The remaining request balance resets monthly.
  • Requests can use any language, but TradingView says English currently produces the best results.
  • Mobile is not supported during the beta.
  • Running a prompt replaces manually selected filters. The current market stays unchanged unless the prompt names another market.
  • The AI maps requests to existing screener filters. A request it cannot map must be rephrased.

AI stock screener prompts to try

Specific prompts are easier to map and easier to audit. Name the universe, field and threshold instead of asking for a vague "good stock."

Need a condition outside standard screener fields?

A filter-mapping tool cannot create a field that the underlying screener does not support. For custom indicator or chart logic, define the rule explicitly and build it as Pine Script. Review and test the script before using its output.

Prefer blocks instead of a prompt? Use the Visual Pine Editor. For a prompt-to-Pine example, see the natural language stock screener.

Frequently asked questions

What is TradingView AI Screener?

TradingView AI Screener is a public-beta feature in Stock Screener. It converts a plain-language request into existing screener filters, table columns and sorting, then explains how it built the screen.

Is TradingView AI Screener free?

No. TradingView says the AI Screener is available across its paid plans. Premade request templates do not use the monthly AI request balance, but the feature itself still requires a paid plan.

Does TradingView AI Screener work on mobile?

No. TradingView lists mobile as unsupported during the public beta. Its announcement also says request limits and availability may change while the feature remains in beta.

What is the difference between TradingView AI Screener and Pineify?

TradingView AI Screener configures a screen inside TradingView. Pineify Finance Agent returns screening results in a conversation and supports follow-up research. Choose TradingView when the editable table is the destination. Choose Pineify when the screen is the start of a broader research conversation.

Can TradingView AI Screener create a custom Pine Script filter?

The current feature maps prompts to standard Stock Screener filters. It does not claim to create a new Pine Script calculation from the prompt. For custom chart or screener logic, use a Pine Script workflow and validate the generated script before relying on it.

Does an AI stock screener give investment advice?

No. A screener narrows a market according to stated rules. It does not establish that a stock is suitable for you or predict a return. Check the data, the filter mapping and the underlying company before making a decision.

Start with a screen you can inspect

Describe the market and thresholds. Pineify Finance Agent maps supported fields, returns matching assets and keeps the conversation open for follow-up research.

TradingView feature details were checked against the official launch announcement on August 18, 2026. Screening results are research inputs, not investment advice or a return guarantee. Verify the selected market, fields, data and filter mapping before acting on a result.
