A screening request is not always one database filter
The Finance Agent asset screener accepts market-cap, price, volume, beta, annual-dividend, sector, industry, exchange, country, and asset-type parameters. Its direct filter contract does not include every financial ratio or growth criterion. A request involving P/E, debt-to-equity, or multi-year revenue growth may need separate data retrieval and explicit filtering of a bounded candidate set. Do not present that sample as an exhaustive market screen.
How It Works

Specify the universe, currency context, and numerical thresholds. Replace ambiguous terms such as cheap or strong growth with a definition.

Ask the agent to list the filters it can apply directly and those requiring additional research. Confirm whether ETFs and funds should be included.

Inspect the returned symbols, exchange, country, and fields. Results are capped and fields may be missing. Provider ordering is not a verified investment ranking.

For an additional ratio or growth test, retrieve the required data for the candidates and apply a documented formula and period. State which candidates could not be evaluated.

Retain the query, observation date, result limit, and follow-up criteria so the screen can be repeated and differences explained.

Illustrative response
An annual dividend amount is not the same as dividend yield or five years of uninterrupted growth. Retrieve the additional inputs needed for those questions.
