Pineify provides a stock research MCP server that returns the latest available research snapshot for one to five exact US-listed operating-company tickers. The tool organizes company fundamentals, quality, growth, valuation, and expectations without claiming to predict prices or execute trades.

Example prompt

Use Pineify get-stock-research-snapshot at standard detail to compare AAPL and MSFT on fundamentals, quality, growth, valuation, and expectations. Call out missing or differently dated fields.

Direct answer

What get-stock-research-snapshot does

Call get-stock-research-snapshot when an agent needs a current research view of named companies or a bounded cross-company comparison. The compact detail level is the default and accepts up to five unique ticker symbols.

Standard detail accepts at most two tickers. It adds the latest reported period, share data, capital-efficiency fields, and up to two forecast periods. A single-company standard request may also include a bounded peer set.

Each response identifies when the snapshot was retrieved and whether it is partial. Coverage records, section dates, and warnings show where data is missing, stale, unavailable, or not applicable. Latest available does not mean every section shares the same timestamp.

Contract

What the agent sends and receives

Inputs

  • `symbols`: one to five unique bare ticker symbols. The tool trims them, converts them to uppercase, and accepts exact US-listed operating-company tickers.
  • `detail: "compact"`: the default mode for one to five symbols. It returns the main research sections and a bounded comparison.
  • `detail: "standard"`: the deeper mode for no more than two symbols. A single-symbol request may include three to five bounded peers when enough comparable companies are available.

Structured output

  • A latest available snapshot with its retrieval time, normalized query, schema version, partial flag, and warnings.
  • Per-company identity, market context, trailing financials, quality ratios, growth, valuation, expectations, next earnings context, and coverage status when available.
  • A cross-company comparison for up to five requested symbols when enough data is available. Standard detail can also return reported-period fields, share data, capital efficiency, forecasts, and optional peer context.

Capabilities

Where this MCP tool fits

Compare up to five exact companies

Request one to five unique US-listed operating-company tickers and receive a bounded comparison across supported metrics when enough data is available.

Read five research lenses

Inspect fundamentals, quality, growth, valuation, and market expectations in a consistent result shape for each company.

Add reported-period detail

Use standard detail for one or two companies to include the latest reported period, shares, capital efficiency, and extra forecast context.

Audit data coverage

Check section-level status, dates, partial-result state, and warnings before drawing a comparison from the returned fields.

Agent workflow

A bounded call from question to review

  1. 1

    Choose exact operating-company tickers

Provide one to five unique symbols such as AAPL, MSFT, or NVDA. Do not send company names, ETFs, funds, or indexes.

  2. 2

    Match detail to the comparison

Use compact for as many as five companies. Use standard only when researching one or two companies and the added reported-period context matters.

  3. 3

    Compare the research sections

Read fundamentals, quality, growth, valuation, and expectations together. Keep each metric tied to its company, unit, currency, and date.

  4. 4

    Check coverage before concluding

Review the partial flag, warnings, and section coverage. Treat null, stale, unavailable, or not-applicable fields as limits on the comparison.

Prompt examples

Questions an agent can route to this tool

"Use Pineify get-stock-research-snapshot at standard detail to compare AAPL and MSFT on fundamentals, quality, growth, valuation, and expectations. Call out missing or differently dated fields."
"Get a compact stock research snapshot for NVDA, AMD, and AVGO. Compare only the metrics returned for all three companies and include the coverage warnings."
"Get a standard research snapshot for AAPL. Summarize the latest reported-period data and peer context if the response includes it. Do not make a buy or sell recommendation."

Operator notes

How I review the result

When I compare AAPL with MSFT, I use standard detail because the request has only two symbols. I still check every section date before treating the figures as a direct comparison.

When I scan NVDA, AMD, and AVGO together, I use compact detail because standard detail cannot accept three symbols. I keep null values visible instead of filling the gaps with assumptions.

When I research AAPL alone, I may request standard detail for bounded peer context. I use those peers to frame a follow-up question, not as a ranking or investment recommendation.

Boundaries to keep in the prompt

  • The tool returns a latest available snapshot. It does not provide price history, filing history, charts, or a live data stream.
  • Coverage is limited to exact US-listed operating-company tickers. ETFs, funds, indexes, specialized banks, insurers, REITs, and BDCs are outside this tool.
  • Standard detail supports at most two requested symbols. Peer context is optional and is available only for a single-symbol standard request with enough comparable companies.
  • Fields can be null, stale, unavailable, or reported on different dates. This is an information tool, not investment advice, and it cannot predict stock prices or promise returns.

Pineify MCP is an information and code-validation tool, not investment advice. It does not promise returns, place trades, or modify a portfolio. Review timestamps, source fields, code diagnostics, and risk assumptions before acting.
