What the consensus summary contains

The FMP consensus endpoint supplies high, low, median and consensus targets for covered symbols. Pineify displays that aggregate response; it does not recompute a consensus from a complete set of individual reports.

Compare the four numbers without inventing missing context

  • High and low are the reported extremes in the provider’s dataset. They are not guaranteed bounds for future prices.
  • Consensus is the provider’s average; median describes the middle of its target distribution. An equal mean and median alone does not prove a symmetric distribution.
  • High minus low is the reported span. It is not a confidence interval, a probability of profit or a measure of maximum loss.
  • Currency, analyst count, included publication dates and a common forecast horizon are not present in this response. Do not assume every target is a current 12-month estimate.

Use the lookup

  1. Enter a ticker and press Enter, or select an exact suggestion. Data availability varies.
  2. Review individual values and Unavailable labels. The range visualization requires nonmissing, ordered endpoints and markers inside that range.
  3. Export the displayed summary to CSV or request it again with Refresh. Requests can use an API cache lasting up to one hour.
  4. Consult original analyst reports and a separately verified stock quote before comparing a target with market price. This page fetches no current price.

Targets are opinions, not trade instructions

Analysts can use different assumptions and dates. Estimates may change or remain stale, and coverage can be incomplete. A target above a quote does not establish undervaluation or a profitable trade. Review the company’s filings, valuation assumptions and your exposure separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is consensus calculated?

This tool displays Financial Modeling Prep’s consensus field, described by the provider as an average of analysts’ targets. It does not receive all underlying reports or independently recompute their weights and inclusion rules.

Are these all current 12-month targets?

The response does not supply a common horizon, constituent report dates, analyst count or currency. Those details remain unknown; the page does not assume complete coverage or a synchronized 12-month forecast.

Does the range show future upside and downside?

No. It shows the span of reported target estimates. It is not a confidence interval or a bound on future prices. No current stock quote is fetched here, so no percentage upside is calculated.

Why is a value or the range unavailable?

Missing, non-finite or negative target fields are unavailable. Equal high and low values remain visible but cannot define a range scale. Inconsistent ordering also suppresses the visualization. Missing records do not prove there is no analyst coverage.

How fresh are the results?

Queries are requested on selection or refresh and can use an API cache of up to one hour. The response lacks constituent publication dates. Refreshing does not prove that analysts have issued new reports.

Is there a fee or automatic trading integration?

This tool has no sign-up requirement or tool fee. It exports the displayed summary to CSV. It does not send targets to a broker or automatically synchronize them into Pine Script.

Review the Business Behind the Target

Use the Finance Agent for separate research into company fundamentals and assumptions. This lookup does not synchronize analyst targets into scripts or execute an entry strategy.
