Match the calculation to the evidence you have
A price comparison needs two prices and a quantity. A contribution projection needs an assumed return and contribution schedule. A transaction-ledger model needs ordered purchases and disposals. None of these inputs is a substitute for the others.
Contributions are not a historical DCA backtest
Investor.gov describes dollar-cost averaging as equal investments at regular intervals. The linked DCA tool projects contributions at a constant assumed return; it does not recreate dated coin purchases. Try zero and negative assumptions as well as positive ones. The compound-interest tool models an entered rate; owning a token alone does not establish a reward entitlement.
Price risk is separate from exchange liquidation
Quantity multiplied by a price move gives gross P&L for a linear position. The position-size model works backward from a planned loss and stop distance. A stop is not guaranteed to fill at that price. Zero-margin models also omit the maintenance requirements that can trigger liquidation earlier; use the exchange contract specification and position panel for those details.
Keep actual records for tax work
A provider daily close can illustrate a historical scenario, but it does not establish your fill, fees, cost basis or permissible lot identification. IRS digital-asset guidance explains U.S. reporting and record requirements. Check the applicable jurisdiction, tax year and model assumptions separately; these directory links are not tax-return validation.
Read the data boundary on each tool
Some pages calculate entirely from entered values; others request third-party prices or historical data. Do not assume that all inputs stay local or that every token is supported. The snapshot above is fetched through the site API from FinancialModelingPrep and does not populate other tools.
Questions about the directory
Does every calculator use a market price?
No. Some tools use only entered amounts and assumptions; others request provider quotes or historical observations. The directory descriptions identify the difference. The quote snapshot on this page does not fill inputs in another calculator.
Are these prices streamed or executable?
No. This page requests a provider snapshot on load and when you select Refresh quotes. Retrieval time is not a market timestamp. Missing or invalid prices are omitted, and missing percentage changes remain unavailable.
Can a liquidation model replace my exchange position panel?
No. The linked zero-margin model excludes maintenance margin, risk tiers, fees and cross-margin effects. Actual liquidation can occur before its modeled boundary. Check the exchange contract and position details.
Can I use a historical price or calculator output as my tax record?
A reference close is not your execution price or proof of basis. Keep acquisition, disposal, fee and wallet records and apply the rules for the jurisdiction and tax year. The linked scenario tools do not prepare or validate a tax return.
