Free Crypto Trading Journal

Enter closed linear crypto trades, fees and signed funding cash flows. Exchange names are labels, not live connections. This worksheet starts empty. Add a trade or load fictional examples; reloading clears all entries.

Crypto-Specific Fields
Before entering records: export a backup before leaving or reloading. Use one consistent quote currency for all prices, fees and funding amounts. The currency selector labels amounts; it does not convert them. Quantity is the actual asset exposure, not margin. Leverage is a note and does not multiply P&L. Funding cash flow is the total amount received (positive) or paid (negative) for this closed trade, not a percentage rate. Enter the realized close date. Incomplete or invalid rows are excluded from statistics.

Sample data is fictional and replaces the current entries. Clear it before recording your own trades.

Export Your Journal

Download your crypto trading journal as a CSV file or copy the same 23 columns as tab-separated text. CSV preserves line breaks; clipboard text replaces embedded tabs and line breaks with spaces. Formula-like text is prefixed with an apostrophe. Check imported text columns before saving. No formulas are exported.

How this crypto worksheet calculates results

Gross P&L is (exit − entry) × quantity for a long, with the sign reversed for a short. Net P&L subtracts entered trading and network fees and adds signed funding cash flow. Positive funding means money received; negative means money paid. Read actual settlement records rather than deriving the sign from long or short alone.

The funding input is a cumulative amount for the trade, not a rate or funding schedule. Contract intervals can vary, as shown in Binance’s funding-rate information. No exchange data is fetched by this worksheet.

A funding cash-flow example

For a fictional long closed from 100 to 110 USDT with quantity 2, gross P&L is 20 USDT. Entering trading fees of 1, network fees of 0.5 and funding cash flow of −2 produces 16.5 USDT net. Changing funding to +2 produces 20.5 USDT net. A leverage note of 5 does not change either result. With a stop at 95, gross R is 2R; it excludes fees and funding.

Use compatible records

  1. Add a trade, or load the fictional sample to inspect the output. Clear the sample before entering your own data. Use one row per fully closed trade with a realized close date, positive prices and actual asset quantity.
  2. Use the same quote currency throughout. This tool does not convert BTC, USDT, USD or other assets; do not add results from incompatible units.
  3. Enter trading and network fees as nonnegative amounts, and funding as signed cash flow. Blank optional amounts are treated as zero, so leaving a known cost blank understates it.
  4. Use exchange and strategy labels to group records. They do not connect brokerage accounts or establish that one exchange provides better execution.
  5. Export CSV before reloading. There is no autosave, cloud synchronization or file-import control on this page.

Read the statistics with their definitions

  • Win rate is winning trades divided by all valid closed rows, including breakeven rows, in every summary. Invalid or incomplete rows do not enter the calculation.
  • Gross price return excludes fees and leverage. Gross R compares price movement with the initial stop distance; it is unavailable when the stop is missing or is not on the risk side of entry.
  • Profit factor uses summed positive and negative net trade results. With no losses, profit factor is unavailable because the denominator is zero. Average and largest win or loss are unavailable when that group has no records.
  • Daily realized P&L drawdown first nets all trades with the same close date, then follows dates in ascending order. It starts from zero cumulative realized P&L and does not measure account equity, open-position drawdown or intraday price paths.
  • Leverage is recorded for context only. The worksheet does not model margin, liquidation, inverse contracts, contract multipliers, partial-close matching or tax treatment.

Missing group statistics or numbers outside the supported numeric range display as unavailable. Reconcile outputs with your exchange statement. Descriptive statistics from supplied records do not establish a repeatable trading advantage.

Frequently asked questions

Is this worksheet free?

Yes. You can enter records, view statistics and export CSV without signing in. This browser worksheet is separate from Pineify’s account-based Trading Journal.

Are my records saved when I reload?

No. Entries live in the current page state and reset when the page reloads. Export before leaving. The worksheet calculates locally and does not submit trade records through a journal backend; this is not a blanket claim about site analytics or third-party services.

Does selecting Binance or another exchange connect my account?

No. Exchange names are labels for manually entered records. No broker synchronization, API connection or trade-history import is provided here.

What do I enter for funding?

Enter the total funding cash amount for the closed trade in the same currency as P&L: positive for received, negative for paid. It is not a percentage rate. Blank means zero; reconcile the amount with actual settlements.

Does leverage multiply the result?

No. Quantity already represents actual asset exposure. Leverage is recorded only as context; multiplying again would double count exposure. The result is a linear price-difference calculation, not an inverse-contract or margin model.

How are breakeven and incomplete trades handled?

Valid breakeven rows enter the win-rate denominator. Rows without valid close dates, entry and exit prices, quantity or pair are excluded. Missing stop data makes gross R unavailable rather than zero.

Can I open the CSV in a spreadsheet?

Yes. The export contains entered fields and calculated values for review in a CSV-compatible spreadsheet. It is a snapshot, not a live connection or a workbook with recalculating formulas. Incomplete rows are included and marked excluded from statistics. Check delimiter and text-column settings when importing.

Turn a review question into explicit trading rules

Use recorded outcomes to formulate a hypothesis, then write down its rules before exploring Pineify’s script tools. This worksheet does not establish a profitable strategy or automatically convert records into a validated trading system.
