What Alligator measures

Williams Alligator uses three shifted smoothed averages of median price to describe sleeping, opening and directional market conditions.

Calculation

Pineify receives the reported indicator fields from its TradingView Alert pipeline. The calculation follows this method:

The standard Jaw, Teeth and Lips use smoothed median price lengths 13, 8 and 5 with forward shifts 8, 5 and 3.

The page leaves missing readings unavailable. It does not fill a gap with an estimate or a browser-side calculation.

How to use this scan

At Pineify, we use this screen as a watchlist check, not as a trade instruction. Use the state as a daily trend filter before examining the three lines on a chart.

Reading the Alligator signals

Read the value in context. A single daily result can narrow the list, but it cannot replace a chart review.

Bullish means the reported line and price order favors an upward trend.

Bearish means the configured order favors a downward trend.

Neutral means the lines are mixed or the trend rule is not active.

Where the signal can fail

The feed provides only the final state and does not expose the Jaw, Teeth or Lips values.

Alligator cannot predict future prices. Confirm the setup and define your risk before acting.

Why are the shorter timeframes locked?+

How often is the Alligator data refreshed?+

The public API caches a successful response for up to one hour. The table shows when its current cached response was created, although the underlying daily bar may be older when a market is closed.
