Pineify shows the latest daily values reported through its TradingView Alert pipeline. This page does not recalculate the indicator in the browser. It is an information tool, not investment advice.

What Supertrend measures

This Supertrend screener compares daily direction, flip signals and the active ATR band across the available market collections. Use it to shortlist charts for review.

Calculation

Pineify receives the reported indicator fields from its TradingView Alert pipeline. The calculation follows this method:

Basic bands = (high + low) / 2 plus or minus factor x ATR. Trailing bands also depend on prior bands and closes. Pineify reports distance as 100 x (close - active band) / abs(close).

The page leaves missing readings unavailable. It does not fill a gap with an estimate or a browser-side calculation.

How to use this scan

Use this screen to review a watchlist before deciding whether to investigate a chart. Choose a market collection, review daily direction and flip labels, then open each candidate on TradingView with matching settings and bar dates.

  1. 1Start in All, then search a reference symbol such as AAPL, SPY, or BTCUSDT. Verify liquidity separately.
  2. 2Compare the Supertrend reading with other Symbols in the same market collection.
  3. 3Open the chart to check price structure, volume and data timing before making a decision.

Reading the Supertrend signals

Read the value in context. A single daily result can narrow the list, but it cannot replace a chart review.

1

Bullish or Bearish describes the reported direction; it does not tell you when that trend started.

2

Cross Up or Cross Down means direction changed between the reported bar and its preceding bar. No Flip means no change was reported, or the comparison was unavailable.

3

Band value and signed distance help check the same daily chart. A positive distance puts close above the band; a negative distance puts it below.

Where the signal can fail

A cached flip can refer to an older bar. Short history, an uninitialized ATR or a missing snapshot can prevent a valid comparison. Sideways markets can produce repeated reversals. These are research candidates, not trade recommendations.

Supertrend cannot predict future prices. Confirm the setup and define your risk before acting.

Markets in this Supertrend scan

All combines Pineify's four default Screener collections. A Symbol that belongs to more than one collection appears once in All and stays available in each matching tab.

Top US Stocks

Widely followed US companies from the current default stock list.

Crypto Majors

Major crypto pairs covered by the Pineify Alert feed.

Hot Markets

Stocks, funds, and crypto pairs in the current hot-market list.

Index ETFs

Index, sector, bond, commodity, and thematic exchange-traded funds.

Data and cache method

This public endpoint requests daily snapshots and caches each indicator response for up to four hours. Seven shorter timeframes stay locked on the public page and are available in the full Pineify Screener, subject to sign-in and plan access.

Read the Pineify Screener method and feature guide for the full workflow behind collections, timeframes, and technical signals.

Read the four Supertrend fields together

The public table filters by market collection and ticker search. Its search box does not filter signal labels. Read the daily cells to build a shortlist, or open Market Screener to compare signals in your own symbol collections. When both values are available, the numbers below the labels show the active band followed by signed distance in percent. Unavailable companion values are omitted; confirm the values on the chart before interpreting an incomplete cell.

FieldReported valueCandidate check
DirectionBullish / Bearish / NeutralA current state; Bullish alone does not establish a fresh flip.
FlipCross Up / Cross Down / No FlipCompare the reported bar with the preceding bar. No Flip also covers unavailable direction comparisons.
Band valueActive trailing price levelCompare with the Supertrend line on the same exchange and daily bar.
DistanceSigned percent of absolute closeUse the close from that bar. Zero close or an unavailable band makes this value unavailable.

Match ATR length and factor before filtering

The current Pineify alert source uses ATR length 10 and factor 3. Length controls the ATR lookback; factor scales the volatility offset. This public page offers no parameter controls, and its response does not include settings metadata. A chart set to 14 and 2 is a different screen, even when both indicators are named Supertrend.

  • Select the relevant collection first. The listed stocks, crypto pairs and ETFs are a defined universe, not every listing on every exchange.
  • Keep the public screen on 1D. On TradingView, select the exact exchange-qualified symbol, daily interval and matching session and price-adjustment settings.
  • Set chart Supertrend ATR length to 10 and factor to 3. Compare band value as well as direction; investigate a mismatch before accepting a flip.
  • Review the displayed cache time and the chart bar date separately. A recent refresh cannot prove that the underlying market bar is recent or closed.

A fresh-flip candidate and two rejected rows

These are hypothetical daily observations, not live results. For candidate A, assume the preceding direction was bearish and the reported closed bar is bullish, with close 105 and active band 99. Distance is 100 x (105 - 99) / 105 = 5.7143%, or 5.71% rounded to two decimals. This qualifies for a bullish-flip review only after the bar date and settings match.

CandidatePrevious to current directionReported flipDecision for a fresh bullish-flip screen
ABearish to BullishCross UpReview the closed daily chart, band and date.
BBullish to BullishNo FlipKeep only for an existing-trend list; exclude from fresh flips.
CUnavailable to BullishNo FlipInsufficient prior direction. Do not infer a reversal.
  • For a bearish example, close 95 and band 101 give 100 x (95 - 101) / 95 = -6.3158%, or -6.32%.
  • The denominator is absolute close, not band value. The bullish example would incorrectly become 6.06% if divided by 99.
  • A small band distance measures proximity. It does not estimate loss, execution price or the chance that a trend will continue.

Check ATR initialization and missing history chart by chart

Do not treat an initial bearish state as evidence of an established downtrend: TradingView initializes direction downward before ATR is available. A new listing, limited history or missing observations can leave too little context to reproduce the recursive band. A missing public snapshot also has several possible causes; the table cannot diagnose history gaps by itself.

  • Open each shortlisted chart and load earlier daily bars. Confirm ATR and the Supertrend band are populated on the signal bar and that the previous direction is available.
  • For an ATR check, true range is the maximum of high minus low, absolute high minus previous close, and absolute low minus previous close. With high 103, low 99 and previous close 98, true range is max(4, 5, 1) = 5.
  • Use matching ATR smoothing. TradingView ATR defaults to RMA; a standalone ATR with different smoothing is not a matching diagnostic.
  • Check gaps, halts, session boundaries and price adjustments when values disagree. Load more history and compare again; do not replace unavailable values with zero.
  • If loading more history changes the signal, hold that candidate out of the shortlist until the input history is consistent. Reject stale or unresolved rows instead of assuming they are bearish.

Move from the shortlist to a repeatable screen

Use Pineify Market Screener to compare the available Supertrend fields in your symbol collections. For a different ATR length, factor or a rule such as a confirmed bullish flip plus another condition, describe the exact settings, timeframe and finite symbol list to Pine Script AI Coding Agent. Review the generated script on TradingView and test the same candidate bars before relying on its output.

  • Keep the desired direction separate from the fresh-flip rule. A multi-day trend list and a one-bar reversal list answer different questions.
  • For a custom script, specify how missing history, unavailable values and still-open bars should be handled. A finite-list script is not an exchange-wide scanner.
  • Repeated reversals in a range and gaps through the band remain possible. Screening does not supply an entry, position size or guaranteed stop fill.

Supertrend Screener FAQ

What does the Supertrend Screener show?+

This Supertrend screener compares daily direction, flip signals and the active ATR band across the available market collections. Use it to shortlist charts for review. This page checks that indicator across Pineify's default stocks, crypto pairs, and ETF collections so you can narrow a watchlist without opening each chart first.

How should I read the Supertrend result?+

Bullish or Bearish describes the reported direction; it does not tell you when that trend started. Treat the daily reading as a starting point, then compare it with price structure, volume, and your own risk rules.

Can Supertrend predict the next price move?+

No. Supertrend is calculated from reported market data and cannot predict the next move or guarantee a profitable trade. It can help you sort a watchlist for further research.

What timeframe does the Supertrend Screener use?+

This public page shows daily data only. Each visible Supertrend reading comes from the latest daily snapshot returned by Pineify's TradingView Alert pipeline.

Why are the shorter timeframes locked?+

The public page requests the daily timeframe only. The full Screener supports 4-hour, 2-hour, 1-hour, 30-minute, 15-minute, 5-minute, and 1-minute readings. Sign-in is required, and symbol visibility and access depend on your plan.

How often is the Supertrend data refreshed?+

The public API caches each indicator response for up to four hours. The table shows when its current cached response was created, although the underlying daily bar may be older when a market is closed.

Need more than daily Supertrend data?

The full Screener adds seven shorter timeframes, the complete technical indicator library, and editable Symbol collections.
