Read targets, ratings and quotes as different datasets

This tracker requests company profile, quote, target consensus, target summary, rating summary and up to 50 grade records. A failure in one request does not make the others unavailable, and an empty response is not proof that nobody covers the company.

What the numbers mean

The provider’s target consensus contains high, low, median and average estimates. These are not guaranteed price boundaries. The quote is a separate observation; its timestamp and the target reports may refer to different dates.

The conditional percentage difference is (consensus ÷ quote − 1) × 100. It is meaningful only after confirming matching currencies, split adjustments and relevant dates. The target response has no currency field, so this page does not certify comparability or call the difference an expected return.

The target summary reports overlapping monthly, quarterly, yearly and all-time windows. Their counts should not be added. All-time coverage is not the number of independent analysts currently contributing to the consensus.

Use ratings without converting opinion into certainty

Rating categories aggregate the provider’s reported counts. A missing category prevents a percentage distribution; zero is retained when explicitly reported. Recent grade rows show the firm, prior grade, new grade and action as supplied. The page does not independently verify their publication completeness.

Different firms can define Buy, Hold and Sell differently. More ratings do not by themselves establish accuracy, and averaging opinions does not remove common assumptions or conflicts. Check original reports and the company’s filings before drawing a valuation conclusion.

Search and refresh

  1. Enter an exact ticker and press Enter, or select a suggestion.
  2. Review available sections and any request errors. Search the same symbol again to retry.
  3. Inspect the returned grade rows; Show Remaining expands already loaded rows and does not retrieve a complete history.

Quote requests are cached for 30 seconds; target and grade requests for up to one hour. There is no streaming connection or automatic refresh. This tool has no sign-up requirement or tool fee and does not execute trades.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the percentage difference predict my return?

No. It is conditional arithmetic between a consensus number and a quote. Currency, split basis and dates must be comparable; the target response does not provide all of that evidence. It excludes dividends, fees and the possibility that the target is never reached.

Does consensus include every analyst?

The page displays the provider’s aggregate, not every original report. Coverage and constituent dates are not fully exposed. Averages do not remove shared assumptions or guarantee accuracy.

What do the summary counts represent?

They are provider-reported coverage counts for overlapping month, quarter, year and all-time windows. Do not add them or treat the all-time value as the number of independent analysts currently contributing to the consensus.

What happens when a rating category is missing?

It remains Unavailable rather than zero. Percentages are shown only when all five category counts are valid and their total is positive. An explicit zero count remains zero.

How fresh and complete are the data?

The quote API uses a 30-second cache and target/grade requests can use a one-hour cache. Data sources may have different observation dates and incomplete coverage. The page loads at most 50 grade records, and no rows does not prove there were no actions.

Can this tracker trade or synchronize targets into scripts?

No. It displays snapshots for research. The Finance Agent and Coding Agent are separate workflows; this page does not send targets to a broker or automatically update a Pine Script strategy.
