What is the Insider Trading Tracker?
This tool displays provider-normalized insider filing rows and a company-level comparison of priced purchases and sales. Its first-page sample is limited to 100 records. It does not provide a complete company history, a fixed lookback period or a forecast of investment returns.
How to Use This Tracker
- 1
Search by Ticker
Enter one ticker and apply the filters. Leaving the ticker blank requests the latest provider sample across covered issuers. No result is not evidence that an issuer has no insider activity.
- 2
Filter by Transaction Type
The purchase and sale options select P and S codes within the loaded sample. Grants, gifts, withholding and exercises are distinct events. An acquisition flag alone does not establish a purchase.
- 3
Analyze the Data
Compare transaction and filing dates, quantity, price, reporting role and original footnotes. Quantity × price is a reported-value calculation, not an independent valuation of the transaction’s importance.
Why Track Insider Trading?
Filing Context
Open available SEC filing links to inspect who reported the event and whether the securities were held directly or indirectly. The label insider does not imply unlawful trading.
Transaction Context
Review trading-plan disclosures and compensation events before inferring motivation. Sales may have several explanations; the data does not classify sentiment.
Research Priorities
Use the company summary to choose records for closer reading. Because it ranks only the returned sample, its largest bar is not necessarily the market’s largest insider purchase.
