Read an Industry Breakdown as a Disclosure Snapshot
This page queries Financial Modeling Prep’s industry breakdown for one filing manager and period. It displays supplied weights and performance-related fields without independently reconstructing returns. Sector and industry classifications are not interchangeable; preserve the provider’s industry labels.
Weight Change Does Not Identify a Trade
Consider a synthetic two-industry portfolio worth 50 in each industry. If one rises to 60 and the other stays at 50, the first weight rises from 50% to about 54.55% without buying any shares. That is a 4.55 percentage-point change and about a 9.09% relative increase in weight. Neither number is proof of a bullish decision. The provider’s fields are not recomputed using this example.
Coverage and Publication Timing
The SEC Form 13F FAQ describes reportable holdings, deadlines, and omitted short positions. A recent quarter may not yet have a public filing. Check the original filing date and any amendments; do not treat a quarter-end observation as information known to investors on that date.
Use the Query, Sort, and Export Controls
- Find the correct reporting manager’s CIK in EDGAR and load it.
- Select a reporting quarter. Changing it clears the previous result; an empty response does not imply zero exposure.
- Sort a provider field and inspect all returned rows using 20-row pagination. Missing numeric fields remain N/A.
- Export the entire response for this query. Save the CIK, quarter, retrieval date, and provider definitions with your research.
The server caches requests for ten minutes. There is no promise that all institutions, industries, or periods are covered. Summary cards count returned rows and known weights; they do not measure total portfolio risk or predict sector rotation.
Verify Units Before Comparing Performance
Values are shown at the provider’s raw scale, without assumed dollar or percentage conversions. Confirm weight denominators, classification rules, cash-flow assumptions, and return methodology before comparing managers or periods. A provider performance field is not an audited account profit or a trading instruction. This page does not calculate a live portfolio or copy institutional trades.
