What is an Economic Calendar?
An economic calendar organizes scheduled statistical releases and central-bank events. This page loads a dated snapshot from Financial Modeling Prep (FMP); it does not measure market reactions or provide streaming announcements.
Use a range of up to 31 days. The initial view selects eight major economies and every impact category, including Unknown. Other countries returned for the date range appear among the filters. Coverage and available figures vary by event.
How to Use This Economic Calendar
- 1
Select Your Time Period
Choose a UTC date preset or a range of up to 31 days, then load it. The results label shows the loaded range; editing date inputs does not relabel old results.
- 2
Filter by Impact Level
Use the provider’s High, Medium, Low, or Unknown classification to narrow the list. These categories do not predict a price move or guarantee that an event is unimportant.
- 3
Choose Your Countries
Select countries relevant to your research. Clear Selection displays no matches; Select Listed includes the currently listed country choices.
- 4
Compare Reported Values
Refresh manually after a release. Compare Actual and Estimate only after checking units, reference periods, revisions, and seasonal adjustment. The sign of a surprise is not a buy or sell instruction.
Key Economic Indicators to Watch
GDP (Gross Domestic Product)
GDP measures production within an economy. Distinguish nominal from real growth, annualized from year-over-year rates, and preliminary from revised estimates.
CPI (Consumer Price Index)
U.S. CPI measures changes in prices paid by urban consumers for a basket of goods and services. Check headline versus core and monthly versus annual changes.
Non-Farm Payrolls
The U.S. payroll series measures employment from an establishment survey. Read the release period and revisions alongside the headline change.
Interest Rate Decisions
Check the central bank’s decision and accompanying statement. The policy level, guidance, and prior expectations can matter; the calendar alone does not explain market reactions.
PMI (Purchasing Managers Index)
Business survey indicators differ by publisher, sector, and geography. Read the publisher’s methodology before comparing readings across series.
Retail Sales
A sales measure with coverage and adjustment rules that vary by country. It is not interchangeable with total household consumption.
Why Use Our Economic Calendar?
- Manual refresh: Request another snapshot when needed. Responses can be cached for 10 minutes; no delivery deadline is guaranteed.
- Filtered export: Save the returned rows matching your country, impact, and name filters, including original numeric fields and units.
- Missing data stays missing: An unavailable actual, estimate, time, or impact is not filled with an invented value.
- Free page access: No registration is required to use the calendar.
Sources and release checks
FMP documents economic-calendar timestamps in UTC. Check the original statistical release for definitions and revisions: FMP data FAQ, BLS CPI, BLS employment statistics, and BEA GDP revisions. These links explain the data; they do not establish that every release is present in this calendar.
