Desktop is the broadest NinjaTrader 8 environment. It is the relevant surface when a workflow needs NinjaScript, custom workspaces, multi-monitor layouts, or the full Desktop help guide.
Web is the browser option for a PC or Mac and is useful for charting, account views, and order entry without installing the Desktop application. Mobile is intended for an iPhone or Android device and focuses on managing an account away from the main workstation.
The Control Center is the Desktop starting point. It provides tabs and menus for accounts, orders, executions, positions, strategies, logs, and the windows used to create charts and review data.
Before opening a chart, confirm the selected connection and account. A chart can display a valid data series while the order entry account is not the account you intended to use, so check both before placing an order.

NinjaTrader requires a connection to a NinjaTrader-provided service, broker, or data feed to receive market data and trade in live or simulation modes. The available providers, credentials, and account surfaces depend on the connection.
NinjaTrader’s account FAQ states that Web and Mobile access is available for NinjaTrader Brokerage account holders, while traders using third-party brokerage connections can continue using Desktop. Treat that as an account-specific rule and verify current support before changing a working setup.
