Pineify shows the latest daily values reported through its TradingView Alert pipeline. This page does not recalculate the indicator in the browser. It is an information tool, not investment advice.

What Price Z-Score 20 measures

Price Z-Score measures how many standard deviations the latest close sits above or below its 20 period average.

Calculation

Pineify receives the reported indicator fields from its TradingView Alert pipeline. The calculation follows this method:

Price Z-Score 20 = (close - 20 period SMA of close) / 20 period standard deviation of close.

The page leaves missing readings unavailable. It does not fill a gap with an estimate or a browser-side calculation.

How to use this scan

At Pineify, we use this screen as a watchlist check, not as a trade instruction. Use Price Z-Score to compare mean-reversion extremes across symbols without letting different price scales distort the ranking.

  1. 1We start in All, then search a liquid reference such as AAPL, SPY, or BTCUSDT.
  2. 2We compare the Price Z-Score 20 reading with other Symbols in the same market collection.
  3. 3We open the chart to confirm price structure and volume before making a decision.

Reading the Price Z-Score 20 signals

Read the value in context. A single daily result can narrow the list, but it cannot replace a chart review.

1

A reading above 2 reports overbought and shows an unusually high price versus its recent mean.

2

A reading below minus 2 reports oversold and shows an unusually low price versus its recent mean.

3

Readings between minus 2 and 2 show whether price is above or below its 20 period mean without calling it an extreme.

Where the signal can fail

A stretched Z-Score can persist during a strong trend. Overbought and oversold describe distance from the mean, not an automatic reversal signal.

Price Z-Score 20 cannot predict future prices. Confirm the setup and define your risk before acting.
