What is a Penny Stock Screener?
This screener filters a limited sample of US-company listings by price, reported trading volume, market capitalization and sector. The default ceiling is $5 per share. It does not calculate price momentum, percentage gainers or a breakout signal. A low share price alone does not establish that a company is inexpensive relative to its earnings or assets.
How to Use This Penny Stock Screener
- 1
Set Price Limit
The screener defaults to stocks under $5. You can adjust this to find stocks in your preferred price range.
- 2
Set Volume and Size Filters
Set a minimum reported volume and optional market-cap bounds. Volume counts traded shares; it does not identify buying pressure, positive returns or the spread available for your order.
- 3
Review the Returned Sample
Press Apply Filters. Review the returned rows, then check current quotes, bid–ask spreads, company filings and trading restrictions with your data source or broker before making a decision.
Why Use Our Penny Stock Screener?
Inspect Low-Priced Listings
Compare price, sector and market cap without treating a low price as evidence of value.
Order the Returned Rows
Rows are sorted by reported volume after filtering the first 50 US-company records returned by the provider. This is not a ranking of every eligible stock in the market.
Understand the Data Window
The API may cache a response for two minutes. This page does not poll automatically, and it does not expose a quote timestamp.
Low-priced stocks can have limited liquidity and be vulnerable to manipulation, including some exchange-listed stocks. The tool's price threshold is a screening convention, not a determination of a security's legal penny-stock status. See FINRA's explanation of low-priced-stock risks.
