Read consensus estimates with their period and coverage
Enter a provider ticker, choose annual or quarterly, and press Search. The table identifies the submitted request; editing the fields does not relabel existing results. Refresh and pagination continue that submitted request. Each response contains up to 10 records, and CSV exports that page.
These are FMP-supplied estimates, not reported company results. A date describes the fiscal period end. Past dates can remain in the dataset, but this page does not provide the historical forecast snapshot that investors actually knew on that date. Do not use a past-period row as a point-in-time backtest input without a separate revision history.
Compare like-for-like metrics
- Revenue describes expected sales; it is not profit or cash flow.
- EBIT excludes interest and taxes. It is not automatically identical to operating income.
- EBITDA additionally excludes depreciation and amortization. It is not operating cash flow and does not eliminate accounting judgments.
- Net income is an earnings measure, not cash distributed to shareholders.
- EPS expresses earnings per share. Verify basic versus diluted and GAAP versus adjusted treatment before comparing estimates with an earnings release; this response does not identify that basis.
- SG&A covers selling, general and administrative expenses. A higher expense estimate is not necessarily a more optimistic forecast.
Separate dispersion from accuracy
Low, average and high are reported summaries, not guaranteed outcomes. Analyst counts differ by metric and period. This endpoint returns counts for revenue and EPS only. Neither a large count nor a narrow range proves that the forecast is accurate.
For a hypothetical stock priced at 60 currency units with estimated annual EPS of 3 in the same currency and on a consistent share basis, forward P/E is 20. Changing EPS to 2 raises that ratio to 30. This sensitivity illustrates dependence on assumptions; it does not establish fair value. A conventional positive P/E is not meaningful with zero or negative EPS.
What the page does not measure
The response has no currency, revision timestamp or explicit accounting-basis field. Values are shown without an assumed dollar sign. The server cache can last 24 hours. The tool does not compute estimate revisions, earnings surprises or price reactions. An earnings beat alone does not establish the direction of the next stock move.
