Read a manager’s quarterly 13F extract
This tool requests Financial Modeling Prep’s structured extract for a manager CIK, report year and quarter. It does not parse an uploaded SEC document. Choose a completed quarter, inspect the returned rows, then verify material details against EDGAR.
What the reporting threshold covers
The $100 million threshold concerns investment discretion over Section 13(f) securities, not total assets under management. Reports exclude short positions; confidential treatment and permitted small-position omissions also limit the public picture. Quarterly position changes do not identify exact trade dates or execution prices.
Read the fields separately
- Report date identifies the holdings snapshot. Filing and acceptance dates describe later submission events.
- CUSIP and class identify the reported security. A symbol may be missing or mapped by the provider. Options use a separate Put/Call field; the class may still read COM.
- Amount and type belong together. SH and PRN are different units and should not be added into a single share count.
- Provider value is shown without a currency symbol or automatic multiplication. Check the original filing’s units, especially across the 2023 format change.
Check coverage before drawing conclusions
The table sorts returned records and displays 20 per page. CSV exports every returned row. Missing fields remain blank in the export and display as a dash in the table. SEC document links appear only when supplied as valid HTTPS SEC URLs; a missing link is not evidence that no filing exists.
Requests may use a 10-minute server cache. Refresh cannot force a new SEC filing or bypass that cache. This page does not reconcile amendments, deduplicate share classes or compare quarters automatically. Keep the report date, CIK, class and option indicator with any exported number.
