Scan Coverage, Event Timing and Volume Definitions

Stockbeep Review: Coverage, RVol, Alerts & Plan Costs

Stockbeep organizes price and volume events across an active-stock universe. Its access tiers, filters and volume definitions matter when interpreting a result. A displayed alert is an observation, not an instruction to buy.

In-Depth Assessment

What the Published Product Actually Covers

Discovery Features

Published tools for narrowing the event feed:

  • Free public access plus paid plans with different update frequencies
  • Price and volume event tables, keywords, filters and symbol searches
  • US extended-session scans; the FAQ notes a ten-minute pre-open reset

Operational Limitations

Limits to check before acting on a scan:

  • The coverage list excludes stocks outside its active-stock selection
  • Refresh frequency does not equal end-to-end delivery time or an executable quote
  • Approximate intraday fields can differ from another data provider

Practical Routine

Keep Event Discovery Separate from a Trading Decision

A second indicator does not independently verify the first provider's feed or establish future returns.

1

Step 1: Record the Event and Its Timestamp

Record the symbol, session, event type and observation time. Check whether the account is showing current or latest-close data, then inspect the quote and spread at your broker.

2

Step 2: Inspect Separate Technical Readings

Add a supported symbol to a Pineify collection and select available intervals and fields. Compare their timestamps and definitions. Full readings require Expert or higher; this workflow neither imports Stockbeep rules nor places trades.

A High Five-Minute Volume Is Not the Same as High RVol

Stockbeep describes cumulative RVol using a five-day volume baseline adjusted along an intraday distribution curve. Its five-minute spike signal compares a short period with the preceding period. These answer different questions.

For a hypothetical stock, suppose cumulative volume is 600,000 shares and the time-adjusted baseline is 300,000. That ratio is 2.0. If the latest five-minute volume is 40,000 after 80,000 in the preceding period, short-window activity has halved even while cumulative RVol remains high. A full-day baseline of 1.5 million would instead yield 0.4; that is a different comparison. These assumed figures are not a live Stockbeep result or its proprietary distribution model.

A Missing Symbol Can Be a Coverage Issue

Consider a hypothetical stock that jumps 12% but ranks outside the 1,000-stock activity universe. No matching row would not prove that its move failed your filters. Confirm universe membership before troubleshooting thresholds, and do not interpret a high-volume list as the entire market.

Check Access and the Feed Status

Checked October 20, 2026: Standard is listed at $39 monthly and Pro at $69 monthly. Six-month prepayment is advertised at monthly equivalents of $29 and $49. The $8 evaluation provides 72 hours and automatically expires. The public screener also displayed a US feed-outage notice when checked; verify the current service notice rather than assuming a subscription guarantees uninterrupted data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Stockbeep entirely free?

No. It has a free ad-supported version and paid Standard and Pro plans. The public screener currently labels unauthenticated data as latest-close data. Check the plan and timestamp before treating a displayed table as a current scan.

Which stocks does Stockbeep cover?

Its US site covers the 1,000 most active stocks on NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX, selected using five-day average daily volume. A symbol outside that universe can be absent even if it meets your filters. Australia has a separate market view.

Can Stockbeep scans be customized?

The site supports keywords, filters, symbols and alert types, with bookmarkable searches. Downloading data requires login. These controls do not establish support for arbitrary user-written indicator code or Pine Script export.

Does sub-second updating mean an instantaneous alert?

No. Stockbeep advertises sub-second Pro scan updates, but event detection, delivery and your connection take additional time. No latency benchmark was performed for this review; the product is not a tick-by-tick exchange feed.

Does Pineify import a Stockbeep scan?

No. Add supported symbols to a separate Pineify collection and select available technical fields. Full data requires Expert or higher. There is no Stockbeep rule import, collection-to-Pine export or broker order execution.
