Build Reviewable Intraday Trading Rules

Use Pineify to draft intraday Pine Script rules with explicit sessions, costs and exit assumptions. Scheduled exits do not guarantee a live fill.

What Day Trading is

Day trading seeks to open and close positions within a session. The intended schedule does not guarantee that an order will execute before the close. Halts, illiquidity, rejected orders or service failures can leave exposure open. Define the exact instrument, exchange calendar and session rather than assuming every market follows US equity hours.

Where coding assistance fits

An AI coding assistant can help describe a repeatable intraday rule, but it does not establish high-speed order-flow processing or live execution. Session filters should use the intended exchange timezone and account for daylight-saving changes. A fixed EST label is not an accurate year-round substitute for New York exchange time.

Building the strategy in Pine Script

Ask Pineify to draft the entry window, exit condition, sizing and loss controls you actually need. Review the code and request a syntax check; do not assume all controls are included automatically. Intrabar path assumptions, order timing, costs and available history can materially change a TradingView strategy report. A five-minute OHLC bar does not reveal every tick or the order of all intrabar events.

Example research setup

Illustrative opening-range experiment: choose QQQ, standard five-minute candles and regular-session New York time. Measure a specified initial range and allow entries only after it is complete. Define a cutoff for new entries and a separate scheduled exit. Compare gross and net results with commission, spread and slippage assumptions, and inspect sessions with early closes. Test a later interval without selecting settings from it. No 180-run optimization, profit factor or guaranteed end-of-day liquidation is claimed.

Frequently asked questions

Does day trading eliminate overnight exposure?
It aims to avoid it, but an unfilled or rejected exit can leave a position open. Verify actual position status and an exception procedure.
Which timezone should a session rule use?
Use the intended market timezone and calendar. Check daylight-saving changes and early closes instead of assuming a fixed UTC offset.
Are VWAP and volume sufficient to prove an edge?
No. They are inputs to a testable rule. Their value depends on data, timing, costs and the complete trading logic.
Can an intraday backtest reproduce every fill?
No. Historical data resolution and the simulator determine what can be modeled. Inspect intrabar assumptions and compare them with the intended orders.
Does Pineify automatically include live daily loss controls?
No such guarantee follows from code generation. Specify, inspect and test each control, and distinguish strategy simulation from broker-account enforcement.
Pine Script Coding Assistance

Define Your Rules Review the Code

Describe an indicator or strategy and use Pineify to draft Pine Script. Inspect the generated logic and test it in TradingView. Generating code does not establish a profitable strategy or place live trades.

Describe the Rules

Specify inputs, conditions, timeframe, and the output you want to inspect.

Review the Draft

Check code assumptions, compilation results, and behavior on your chart.

Test the Assumptions

Use explicit costs and execution settings when testing a strategy. Historical results do not guarantee future returns.
