Trade records and reconciliation
Webull Trading Journal
A Webull order-history export is not a list of completed round-trip trades. This guide uses Webull’s US documentation to help you obtain the file, identify executed quantities and keep live and simulated records separate before journaling.
Export and check your Webull orders
- 1
Select the intended account
Confirm the account and review period before exporting. Keep live and paper trading files in separate folders so they cannot be combined accidentally.
- 2
Use the export control on mobile or desktop
On mobile, open Account, select the account, then History → Export Orders. On desktop, open Account and use the Orders widget’s Settings menu → Export Orders. Webull’s documented workflow sends the CSV by email after you confirm the delivery address.
- 3
Check status and executed quantity
The export can contain filled, partially filled, pending, working, canceled and failed orders. Read the status together with the filled quantity; the requested quantity alone does not describe your position.
- 4
Reconcile a small period first
Compare the executed activity with trade confirmations and the remaining position. Use a separate working copy for mapping. Do not count both an order summary and its individual executions as additional trades.
An order file needs interpretation
Webull’s transaction-history instructions describe CSV export and email delivery. They do not establish a Pineify import format. Check the actual columns and the destination’s documentation before renaming fields or combining files.
Preserve the original export, account, requested period and retrieval date. If the range excludes an opening position, obtain the earlier activity or a verified opening inventory. Otherwise, sales alone cannot establish realized profit.
A canceled remainder does not erase an earlier fill
Fictional stock example in one account and currency: request a buy of 100 shares at 10. Only 40 shares execute, and the remaining 60 are canceled. Later, 20 shares sell at 12. Assume no opening position, fees or other activity.
The position is 20 shares after the sale. Gross realized profit on the 20 closed shares is 40: 240 of sale proceeds minus 200 of matched entry cost. The other 20 shares remain open with 200 of entry cost; this example supplies no current price or unrealized P&L.
Counting the requested 100 as bought would create 60 nonexistent shares. Dropping the entire partially filled order because its remainder was canceled would lose 40 real shares. Keep the execution evidence and distinguish canceled orders from broker corrections that actually reverse a trade.
| Event | Executed quantity change | Unfilled quantity canceled | Position afterward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buy request: 100 at 10 | +40 | 0 | 40 |
| Cancel the unfilled remainder | 0 | 60 | 40 |
| Sell 20 at 12 | −20 | 0 | 20 |
Use confirmations and statements to investigate differences
Webull provides individual trade confirmations and monthly statements. Its guide lists Documents on mobile, and Statement or Trade Confirmation in the desktop Account Details widget. These are supporting records for reconciliation, not interchangeable file formats.
Check account identity, instrument, filled quantity, execution price and recorded costs. For options, retain expiration, strike, put/call and the contract multiplier. A multi-leg strategy needs a documented grouping rule; an underlying ticker alone does not identify the contracts.
Keep order time and execution time distinct. Do not invent implied volatility, Greeks or session labels from a file that does not contain the needed inputs. Any currency conversion or time-zone conversion should have a stated method.
Paper-trading exports depend on the system version
Webull’s current guide distinguishes two systems. In the new paper-trading system, export is available on mobile: switch to paper trading, open Account → History, then use the download icon. For the legacy system, use the desktop Orders widget menu → Export Records.
Label these records as simulated and keep them outside live-account totals. A paper-trading result can help review a process, but it does not prove that the same orders would fill at the same prices with real money. Export availability is not evidence of compatibility with a particular journal.
Resolve discrepancies before comparing performance
Reconcile by account and exact instrument. First compare executed buy and sell quantities, then remaining positions, then costs. Inspect overlapping date ranges before adding a later export so the same executions are not counted twice.
A closed-trade journal and an account statement can measure different things. Cash flows, open positions, dividends and financing may explain a difference. State which items your result includes rather than forcing the journal total to match a portfolio change.
Use the resulting sample for manual entry where supported, or follow another journal’s documented Webull import contract. This page does not upload files, connect a broker account or automate options analysis.
Frequently asked questions
Can I upload Webull order history directly to Pineify?
Not currently. Pineify Trading Journal supports manual entry; Import History is marked Coming Soon. There is no Webull CSV parser or automatic broker sync provided by this guide.
Does every row in the export represent an executed trade?
No. Webull documents several order statuses in the export. Inspect executed quantities and supporting records before using rows in position or P&L calculations.
Should I discard all canceled orders?
Do not filter by that label alone. A partially filled order can have an unfilled remainder canceled. Preserve the actual fills and reconcile any correction that reverses an execution separately.
Can I export Webull paper-trading records?
Webull documents export on mobile for the new system and on desktop for the legacy system. Follow the version-specific steps above and keep simulated records separate from live trades.
Will the order CSV calculate options Greeks or strategy performance?
The file alone does not establish those calculations. Preserve contract identity and inspect the available fields. Do not infer unavailable market inputs, or combine legs without defining how entries, exits and costs are matched.
Continue with a reconciled sample
For a manual review, use the Pineify Trading Journal after checking its current fields. For a separate spreadsheet, inspect the Excel journal template and its calculation assumptions. Neither path adds automatic broker import.
Check the general trade-import mapping guide
Published by Pineify, which sells trading software. Instructions use the linked official documentation; examples are fictional reconciliation exercises. No live broker account or third-party import was used to validate this guide. A matching sample tests data handling, not future trading performance.
