Pineify shows the latest daily values reported through its TradingView Alert pipeline. This page does not recalculate the indicator in the browser. It is an information tool, not investment advice.

What Bollinger Bands measures

Bollinger Bands place standard deviation bands around a 20 period average. Position tracks where price sits between the bands, while width measures spread.

Calculation

Pineify receives the reported indicator fields from its TradingView Alert pipeline. The calculation follows this method:

Position = (close - lower band) / (upper band - lower band). Width percent = (upper band - lower band) / middle band x 100.

The page leaves missing readings unavailable. It does not fill a gap with an estimate or a browser-side calculation.

How to use this scan

At Pineify, we use this screen as a watchlist check, not as a trade instruction. Use position to find outer band tests and width to separate compressed markets from active ones.

  1. 1We start in All, then search a liquid reference such as AAPL, SPY, or BTCUSDT.
  2. 2We compare the Bollinger Bands reading with other Symbols in the same market collection.
  3. 3We open the chart to confirm price structure and volume before making a decision.

Reading the Bollinger Bands signals

Read the value in context. A single daily result can narrow the list, but it cannot replace a chart review.

1

A position near 0 is close to the lower band and a position near 1 is close to the upper band.

2

A narrow width shows compressed recent volatility.

3

A wide band shows expanded volatility, not a bullish or bearish direction by itself.

Where the signal can fail

Price can stay near an outer band during a trend. An outer band reading alone is not a reversal signal.

Bollinger Bands cannot predict future prices. Confirm the setup and define your risk before acting.
