Local Entry Storage

The tracker saves entries in this browser without account sync. Export JSON for a copy; clearing site storage can erase records. This is not an encrypted vault.

What is a Trading Mindset Tracker?

This log records confidence, discipline, patience, emotional control, focus and adaptability as you rate them. It does not import trades, calculate profit and loss, or test whether a rating predicts your results. Use notes to distinguish what happened from how you felt about it.

Read the Scores as Self-Reports

The overall score averages all six ratings with equal weights. For example, ratings of 4, 5, 6, 4, 5 and 6 produce 5.0. This is an arithmetic example, not a benchmark. Confidence can reflect overconfidence; following an untested plan does not make it profitable. The labels do not compare you with other traders.

A Repeatable Reflection Routine

  1. Choose a date and rate the same six questions using a consistent personal scale.
  2. Note observable actions: a changed order, a skipped checklist or a break from the screen.
  3. Save the entry. Saving the same date replaces its ratings and notes.
  4. Review the latest 30 entries and compare recent groups of up to seven entries. Skipped dates mean these are not monthly or weekly statistics.
  5. Export a JSON copy before clearing browser storage. There is no cloud backup or import workflow.

Choose Your Own Rating Anchors

Define what a low and high response mean for each category. For discipline, you might record whether you followed a written checklist. For focus, note interruptions. Keep the meaning stable across sessions and review the notes before interpreting a change. Preset tips are prompts for reflection, not validated treatment or financial advice. A high score is not permission to increase risk.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a trading mindset tracker?

This is a personal reflection log for six self-ratings and optional notes. It does not measure trading skill, diagnose a psychological condition or predict returns. It has no access to your trades or profit and loss.

How are the scores and charts calculated?

The overall score is the arithmetic mean of six ratings, rounded to one decimal place. Averages use up to 30 recent entries; the comparison uses up to seven recent entries versus up to seven preceding entries. These are entry counts, not fixed calendar periods. Higher self-ratings do not prove better decisions.

Are the suggestions personalized or scientifically validated?

The prompts are preset reflection suggestions. They are not AI analysis, individualized financial advice or a validated clinical assessment. Review specific actions and outcomes alongside your ratings instead of treating a score as a trading signal.

How often should I log an entry?

Choose a consistent point, such as after a session, and describe what happened. Saving the same date updates that entry. The streak counts consecutive calendar dates ending today, including weekends; it is not a measure of profitability.

Where is my mindset data stored?

The tracker stores entries and goals in this browser using localStorage; the tracker does not upload those entries. There is no account sync or encrypted vault. Other people using the same browser profile may access them. Clearing site storage can remove the records, and restricted storage may prevent saving. Export JSON to keep a copy; the tool currently has no import button.

Turn a Written Rule into a Testable Script

If your notes contain a specific trading rule, Pineify can help turn it into Pine Script for review and testing. Code generation does not establish that a rule is sound, profitable or ready for live execution.
