Build a research list from reported rating counts
“Prize Picks” is this page’s label for an analyst-rating filter, not a recognized investment rating or a claim that a stock is a winner. The tool first requests a limited company-screener candidate set, joins available rating counts by symbol, and keeps rows meeting your Buy/Strong Buy threshold.
Understand the order of operations
- Choose sector, market-cap threshold, exchange, country and an initial limit of 20, 50 or 100 candidate rows. This limit applies before analyst filtering; results are not the highest-rated stocks across the entire market.
- Choose a minimum Buy share from 0–100%. The calculation is (Buy + Strong Buy) ÷ the sum of all five reported categories × 100. Missing, invalid or all-zero counts cannot produce a share and are excluded.
- Optionally apply a positive conditional gap threshold. Zero disables this filter. Quotes and targets load afterward; missing targets cannot pass a positive threshold.
- Expand a result to inspect counts and available quote/target fields. Export CSV saves the current filtered rows after enrichment finishes, not all candidates or a complete market dataset.
A target gap is conditional arithmetic
The gap is (consensus target ÷ price − 1) × 100. It is meaningful only when currencies, split bases and observation dates are comparable. The target endpoint does not supply those complete details. A positive gap is not a forecast return, a probability or proof of undervaluation.
For example, a target of 130 and price of 100 produce a 30% numerical gap if they use comparable units. This hypothetical calculation does not imply a 30% future gain or a confirmed 12-month horizon.
Check coverage before interpreting the ranking
Company screens are cached for up to two minutes, rating and target requests for up to one hour, and quote batches for 30 seconds. Requests are separate snapshots, not a streaming feed. Failed enrichment is reported, and missing observations remain unknown.
The provider’s target documentation describes aggregate estimates. Review original reports and company filings before acting. A high Buy share describes the returned rating mix; it does not establish analyst independence, prediction accuracy or investment suitability.
