A snapshot needs a reference point
The FinancialModelingPrep batch quote endpoint supplies these rows. A successful retrieval tells you when this page received them, not when every market price was formed. The short response has no per-row timestamp, exchange, spread or order-book depth.
Read the units before comparing coins
Price and change are retained in provider units without a blanket dollar sign. A symbol ending in USD suggests a USD quotation, but the table does not perform currency conversion. Absolute change is not percentage return. Missing volume stays N/A and zero stays zero; neither establishes how easily your order could trade.
Search, inspect and export
- Type a symbol or substring; matching is case-insensitive and resets the page.
- Use the 20-row pages to inspect results. Refresh requests a new snapshot and clears old rows while it loads.
- Export saves all filtered rows, not only the visible page. Keep the source and retrieval context with your research.
A single snapshot cannot reconstruct drawdowns or backtest a strategy. Use a dated historical series for those tasks and exchange-specific quotes before considering an order.
