An independent alternative for readers researching Eric Fry

This page does not reproduce Eric Fry’s stock picks, newsletter, portfolio, or proprietary methodology. Pineify has no affiliation or endorsement. The tool is a configurable FMP screener with optional financial details; no evidence establishes that its example defaults match any particular investor’s process.

How to inspect a candidate list

  1. Choose market cap, price, sector, beta, annual dividend amount, volume, country, and exchange. The default $1 billion market-cap floor and 1.5 beta ceiling are examples, not definitions of growth or safety.
  2. Apply the filters. The page requests a limited candidate set and retains NASDAQ, NYSE, or AMEX listings. Company country is a separate field from listing exchange.
  3. Wait for financial details. P/E filtering uses the returned TTM ratio and occurs after the candidate limit. If you request 20 candidates and only three have matching available ratios, the result contains three; it does not search every remaining company.
  4. Open a company’s Details control to inspect available P/B, ROE, ROIC, debt/equity, current ratio, and annual analyst estimates. Check the displayed estimate period before calling a number a forward forecast.
  5. Export the loaded matching rows after enrichment completes. Reset applies the example defaults again. Editing a filter alone does not change the submitted query.

What the filters do not prove

A market-cap threshold measures company size, not earnings growth. Beta describes measured sensitivity to a benchmark and does not bound future losses. A low P/E can reflect weaker expected earnings or a temporary accounting effect; it is not proof of undervaluation. An elevated ROE can also reflect a small equity denominator. Read the financial statements before drawing a conclusion.

The dividend input is an annual cash amount per share, not a percentage yield. For a simple comparison, a $2 annual dividend on a $100 share is 2%, while the same $2 on a $20 share is 10%. This tool does not establish dividend sustainability or future growth.

Coverage, units, and missing values

The table uses USD for retained U.S. listing price and market-cap values. Financial ratios are dimensionless, and ROE/ROIC fractions are multiplied by 100 for percentage display. Analyst EPS and revenue retain provider reporting units; the response does not identify their currency here, so do not assume every estimate is in USD.

Each company’s metrics, ratios, and estimate requests can fail independently. Available fields are retained, failed requests are labeled, and missing values stay blank rather than becoming zero. The first returned annual estimate may refer to a historical or future period. These snapshots are not a synchronized point-in-time dataset for backtesting.

Use the result as a research queue

Check the latest filing, debt structure, earnings quality, sector comparison, and reporting dates for each candidate. The tool does not evaluate your portfolio, rank expected returns, place trades, or automatically convert its CSV into a TradingView strategy. A filter match remains a candidate until those questions are investigated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these Eric Fry’s stock picks?

No. Pineify is not affiliated with or endorsed by Eric Fry. This independent screener does not access his paid recommendations, portfolio, research, or proprietary selection rules. Its default market-cap and beta settings are examples chosen for this page.

What filters actually run?

Sector, market cap, price, beta, annual dividend amount, volume, exchange, and company country are sent to FMP. Only NASDAQ, NYSE, and AMEX listing records are retained. P/E limits are applied locally to available TTM ratios after the candidate limit, so the result is not an exhaustive market screen.

Does the dividend filter use percentage yield?

No. It requests a minimum annual dividend amount per share in the listing currency. This page restricts candidates to the three U.S. exchanges and uses USD price labels. A larger dividend amount does not by itself mean a larger yield.

Why are some financial fields blank?

Provider coverage and separate request failures can leave fields missing. Zero is retained as zero. A failed detail request is labeled, and available results from other requests remain visible. Missing P/E excludes a candidate only when a P/E filter is active.

How current are the results?

Apply requests provider data, which can be cached: the screener for two minutes, TTM ratios for one hour, and analyst estimates on a longer cache cycle. No automatic refresh or real-time guarantee is provided. The annual estimate period is displayed and may not be the next fiscal year.

What can I export?

After detail loading finishes, export the currently matching loaded rows. Export does not retrieve more candidates or import results into Pine Script. This page is free without sign-in; data availability and request limits still apply.
