What This Options Scanner Checks

This tool applies saved criteria to one page of option snapshots for a chosen ticker. Contract type, expiration and strike bounds narrow the server request. Volume, open interest, implied volatility, daily close and absolute delta are checked in your browser against the returned contracts.

A match only means the available fields meet your thresholds. It does not establish probability of profit, liquidity or a favorable entry price. Review the current bid and ask, contract multiplier, exercise terms and account requirements separately before making a trading decision.

How to Use This Custom Options Filter Tool

  1. 1

    Create a New Filter

Click New Filter, enter one ticker and optionally name the filter. Starting a new filter clears the selection so saving it does not overwrite a previously selected filter.

  2. 2

    Set Your Filter Criteria

Choose contract type, expiration and strike bounds first. Add minimum volume or open interest, IV percentage bounds, daily-close bounds and absolute-delta bounds between zero and one. Leave a threshold blank to skip that check.

  3. 3

    Run the Filter

Click Scan Now to load at most 250 option snapshots. Additional pages are not fetched. Narrow the expiration or strike range when the provider reports more results; sorting changes only the returned subset.

  4. 4

    Review Manual Scan History

The first 50 matching rows in your chosen sort order are added to scan history. The tool keeps at most 500 entries in total. Repeated scans can record the same contract again; these entries are not automated alerts.

  5. 5

    Save & Reuse Filters

Click Save Filter to store the named criteria in this browser. Select a saved filter to edit it or scan again. Storage failures are displayed, and saved settings do not synchronize to another device.

Why Use Custom Options Filters?

Reuse Named Criteria

Use a named set of thresholds again without re-entering each bound. Reuse does not imply the same data will remain available or that results are profitable.

Check Snapshot Limitations

A scan uses the snapshot returned at request time. The data may be delayed; the displayed completion time is a local scan timestamp, not evidence of a real-time feed.

Multi-Dimensional Filtering

Combine criteria while distinguishing missing fields from zero. If a contract lacks a field required by an active threshold, it is excluded instead of treated as a zero-valued match.

Capped Match History

Review up to 50 saved matches per scan and 500 total entries. Scan history is a local research log, not an audit trail of every qualifying market event.

Browser Storage and Requests

Filter settings and history use local browser storage. Ticker, contract type, expiration and strike bounds are sent to data endpoints to obtain snapshots. No claim of complete anonymity or site-wide privacy follows from local storage.

Free Tool, Defined Limits

No paid tool subscription is required. The scan still has a 250-contract response limit, provider availability and request limits; unsupported tickers may return no data.

Frequently Asked Questions

How manual scans, data limits and browser storage work.

    • Does this tool send automatic alerts?

No. Scan Now makes one request for option snapshots. There is no background monitoring, email, push notification or automatic rescan. History keeps up to 50 matches from each manual scan and 500 entries overall.

    • Does a scan cover the full options chain?

The page reads one response page of at most 250 contracts. Use expiration, strike range and contract type to narrow that request. Local filters and sorting apply only to those returned contracts; a no-match result says nothing about unscanned contracts.

    • What do daily close and delta filters mean?

Daily close comes from the most recent daily option bar, not an executable bid or ask. IV thresholds are percentages. Delta bounds use absolute delta from 0 to 1, so puts and calls can be compared by magnitude. Missing values cannot satisfy an active threshold.

    • How fresh and complete are the data?

Massive supplies option snapshots through Pineify. Availability and delay depend on data access and the contract. Greeks and other fields can be absent. Scan completed shows local request completion time, not when the market data changed; open interest refers to the prior trading day.

    • Are my settings private and permanent?

Named filters and scan history are stored in this browser when storage is available. Scanning sends the ticker, contract type, expiration and strike bounds to Pineify data endpoints. Browser clearing, storage limits or device changes can remove saved data; this is not a site-wide privacy guarantee.

    • Can I use this tool free of charge?

The page requires no paid tool subscription or account. Supported symbols, market-data availability, request limits and browser storage still constrain use. A matching contract is a research result, not a recommendation or evidence of expected profit.

Use Pineify Finance Agent for a separate company-research workflow. This scanner does not transfer saved filters into an automated trading strategy or place orders.
