Check What the Tool Actually Measures
Avoid treating different features as interchangeable:
- Indicators on a single advanced chart do not prove that every indicator can be used in a market-wide custom filter.
- Gold includes a Technical Events Screener. Inspect its available events and timeframes rather than assuming a one-minute custom formula is supported.
- A live quote does not make the latest financial statement current to the same second. Check both the quote timestamp and financial period.

Check the Earnings Denominator
At a $50 share price, $2 of trailing annual EPS gives a P/E of 25. A $4 forward EPS estimate gives a forward P/E of 12.5. Only the latter passes a P/E below 15 rule. Those are different denominators, not contradictory arithmetic. Forecast earnings can change, and a low multiple alone does not establish quality.
Check the Security and Currency
A hypothetical local share at 100 units and an ADR at $25 are not comparable prices without the exchange rate and the ADR share ratio. At 4 local currency units per dollar, 100 units equals $25 for one local share, but a two-share ADR represents $50 before other differences. Match the exchange, currency and security before adding a supported symbol to Pineify.
Plans, Sources and Scope
Yahoo now documents Free, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Gold includes AlphaSpace, downloadable data and several premium screeners; Silver adds research features and Bronze adds portfolio analysis. Do not use an old Finance Plus price as a quote for these plans. Compare the current billing term, renewal price, taxes and regional availability at checkout.
Saving a screen preserves criteria; keeping a separate dated list records the symbols you observed. Neither creates a historical backtest. If you later compare that list in Pineify, manually resolve each supported symbol and choose the intended interval.
