The Practical Workflow
Keep the Research Question Attached to the Candidate
Record why a company entered a screen and which information could invalidate that reason.
Step 1: Inspect the Relevant Checks
Choose the score or field relevant to your question, then read its underlying data, period and limitations. A single cutoff does not certify business quality. Compare figures with the company filing and keep the date of your observation.
Step 2: Review Separate Technical Observations
Add supported symbols to a Pineify collection and select the fields and intervals needed for comparison. Full readings require Expert or higher. A technical reading neither validates the financial thesis nor confirms a low-risk entry.
Averaging Categories Is Different from Counting All Passed Checks
The Due Diligence methodology assigns each check a pass or fail, converts each of five categories to a percentage, then averages those category percentages. It is not simply the percentage of all checks passed when categories contain different numbers of checks.
For a hypothetical example, suppose the five categories pass 4/5, 4/10, 3/5, 6/10 and 4/5 checks. Their percentages are 80, 40, 60, 60 and 80; the average is 64. Pooling all checks instead gives 21/35, or 60. Neither calculation estimates a 64% or 60% probability of profit. The actual platform uses its own checks and rounding.
An A Grade Is a Relative Rank, Not a Percentage Return
Zen Ratings uses a different model. Its published table assigns A to the top 5% and B to the next 15% of rated stocks. In a hypothetical universe of 100 fully rated stocks, that describes about five A names and 15 B names, not 20 stocks guaranteed to rise. Sector concentration and the condition of the whole market remain separate questions.
WallStreetZen says its published performance comes from a 2006 through 2025 computer-model backtest with monthly transactions priced at the trading day's high-low midpoint and without trading costs. This page has not reproduced that study. A historical rating table cannot establish the return available at your entry price, with your fees and portfolio constraints.
A Fresh Quote Can Sit Beside an Older Forecast Calculation
The help guide says prices can change every few seconds, while many valuation ratios and target-upside percentages use closing prices. Statements update on reporting schedules and analyst estimates change when new forecasts arrive. As a hypothetical example, a $120 target against a $100 close implies 20% upside; against a current $110 quote it implies about 9.1%. Check the denominator before treating two displays as inconsistent.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where did the Zen Score go?
WallStreetZen renamed it Due Diligence Score. The newer Zen Ratings system is a separate letter-grade model using 115 factors and seven component grades. A numerical DD Score and a Zen Rating do not measure the same thing.
Does WallStreetZen have technical indicators?
Yes. The public Momentum screener view displays SMA periods from 10 to 200, RSI, Stochastic, StochRSI, MACD, its signal and histogram, and beta. These visible fields do not establish support for every custom interval or indicator.
How much does Premium cost?
The plans page checked October 20, 2026 displays $19.50 per month billed yearly, equivalent to $234 annually. That is an annual-billing rate, not evidence of a $19.50 cancel-any-month plan. Basic access is limited; review trial renewal and checkout terms separately.
Is a high rating a low-risk entry signal?
No. A rating summarizes a model or set of checks. It does not establish an executable price, position size or maximum loss. The published Zen Ratings return figures are computer-model backtests, not a promised return for an individual investor.
What can Pineify add to this workflow?
