The Practical Workflow
Carry the Research Context with the Symbol
A macroeconomic release does not by itself identify an entry. Keep the company research and technical observations auditable.
Step 1: Record the Market and Metric
Select a market and define the filters. Save the company, exchange, share class, currency and field date with the result. If your plan supports export, keep the CSV as a research snapshot rather than an order list.
Step 2: Inspect the Supported Listing
Add the matching supported listing to a Pineify collection and choose the available fields and interval. Recheck the chart session and price currency. The table does not carry over InvestingPro models or establish that a breakout will produce a profitable trade.
Separate Model Upside from Currency Return
Suppose a stock trades at 40 and a model values it at 50 in the same currency. The implied upside is (50 / 40 − 1) × 100 = 25%. That is a comparison with an estimate, not a promised gain. Changing growth assumptions or the discount rate can change the model value without any trade occurring.
For a separate hypothetical international holding, assume its local price rises 10% while each unit of the local currency buys 10% fewer units of your home currency. With no dividends or costs, the home-currency price return is 1.10 × 0.90 − 1 = −1%. A positive local-price screen does not guarantee a positive return in your account currency.
Keep the quote currency and reporting currency clear, and check whether the symbol represents an ordinary share, a preferred share or a depositary receipt. A similar company name does not ensure the same security, trading hours or conversion ratio.
