The Practical Workflow
Reproduce a Screen Before Monitoring It
Keep the same symbol, exchange, timeframe and session when checking two tools. A mismatch can arise from data or settings, not a change in the underlying investment case.
Step 1: Save an Explicit Query
For an illustrative stock screen, choose common stocks, price above $10 and the 50-day moving average below the last price. Save the filters and record the run time. Save a separate watchlist if you want to preserve today's symbols. These conditions are research choices, not validated buy rules.
Step 2: Check One Candidate on Its Chart
Add only supported listings to a Pineify collection and choose the daily interval. For a hypothetical last price of $52 and SMA50 of $50, the price is 4% above that average. Confirm the same session and bar on a chart; an unfinished daily bar can change. The filter does not establish execution price, future performance or the identity of buyers.
Interpret Opinion and ETF Filters Separately
Opinion combines buy, neutral and sell readings across 13 studies. An 80% Buy label is not an 80% chance of a profitable trade. Check the component studies and their lookbacks; a collection of moving-average rules can repeat the same trend information.
For ETF research, add expense ratio, assets under management and average volume to the technical review. A cheap fund with strong recent momentum may still hold concentrated, leveraged or inverse exposure. Read its mandate and holdings before comparing it with an ordinary equity fund.

It filters equities in the selected market. Use the separate ETF screener for funds and the options tools for contracts. A market portal covering several asset classes does not mean one stock query scans all of them.
Which Barchart plan do I need?

Does a Barchart Opinion percentage predict a return?
No. It summarizes technical study signals, not a probability of profit or an expected percentage return. Several studies can respond to the same price trend, so agreement is not independent confirmation.
How is Pineify Market Screener different?
Pineify monitors supported symbols in configurable technical collections. Full access requires an account and an Expert plan or higher; lower plans receive a restricted preview. It does not import Barchart filters, reproduce Opinion scores or export its matrix as Pine Script.
Can I recreate a screen on TradingView?
