MQL5 to thinkScript converter
An MQL5 indicator may be reduced to a thinkScript study, but an EA cannot carry its event-driven trade engine into thinkorswim; only supported chart calculations, alerts, and simulated strategy signals should be migrated.

Inventory the source behavior
Separate calculations, plots, alerts, orders, external dependencies, and assumptions in an .mq5 Expert Advisor or custom indicator.

Manual decisions
Decisions code replacement cannot make
- Separate reusable indicator math from MQL5 account, file, network, and trade services.
- Translate arrays and handle buffers into declarative thinkScript series with supported history depth.
- Treat EA entries as optional AddOrder simulations, not as equivalent live MT5 execution.
Limitations
What the draft cannot prove
- MetaTrader 5 and thinkorswim do not share one execution, data, or order model, so behavior can change even when both versions compile.
- Broker, symbol, session, timezone, history, and fill settings can change signals and backtest results on thinkorswim.
- Pineify can generate and revise a thinkScript draft, but the target platform remains the authority for compilation, loading, backtesting, and runtime behavior.
