Pineify vs SpotGamma: Options Research and Positioning Models

SpotGamma provides options-positioning analytics and research. Pineify Finance Agent provides research through its available tools, with a separate Coding Agent for trading-language source. A conversational answer or generated script does not establish an equivalent dealer-positioning model, live gamma feed or historical backtest dataset.

Exposure estimates depend on data and assumptions

Gamma measures how option delta changes as the underlying price changes. Aggregating gamma or delta across contracts requires choices about units, contract multipliers, expirations, open interest and position signs. Public open interest alone does not identify every dealer’s actual inventory. SpotGamma describes its own inventory model and TRACE views for SPX positioning. FlashAlpha documents exposure APIs with plan-dependent freshness and scope. Their outputs should not be treated as interchangeable without checking methodology and timestamps. A gamma level is a model-dependent observation, not guaranteed support, resistance or a direction forecast.

How It Works

  1. 1

Define the required output: an exposure dashboard, an API response, a research summary or a script. These are different products.

  2. 2

For SpotGamma, inspect the relevant tool, underlying, expiry coverage and inventory-model documentation. TRACE and other product views have distinct purposes.

  3. 3

For FlashAlpha, inspect the endpoint, authentication, tier, timestamp and expiry filters. Verify the actual response before relying on a coverage claim.

  4. 4

In Pineify, use available research tools and identify their returned fields and sources. Do not assume a dedicated GEX/DEX dataset or parity with a proprietary model.

  5. 5

Before writing a strategy, verify that the destination runtime can access the required historical series. A manually entered current level cannot validate a historical positioning strategy.

Example Research Tasks

Compare a reported gamma level

Example question

“Why do two providers show different gamma levels for the same underlying?”

Illustrative response

Review the timestamp, expiry set, units, position-sign assumptions and methodology. Do not manufacture an NVDA price level to illustrate a live result.

Check a pre-event exposure snapshot

Example question

“What options data is available before an economic release?”

Illustrative response

Record the observation time and the contracts included. A put-call volume ratio alone does not establish dealer net delta, and a later updated snapshot must not be used as earlier knowledge.

Plan a historical test

Example question

“Can this positioning signal be tested in TradingView?”

Illustrative response

First verify an actual historical series and its availability at each decision time. A current API response or a manually plotted level is insufficient; keep the research external if no supported feed exists.

Sample Questions to Try

Frequently Asked Questions

An equivalent proprietary inventory model, TRACE heatmap and research service have not been established for Pineify. Compare the specific output you need rather than assuming parity from an AI interface.

Not by itself. An exposure estimate needs assumptions about positions and aggregation. Inspect the provider’s methodology and do not equate public open interest with known dealer holdings.

No. Coding is a separate workflow, and Pine Script needs a supported series in its own runtime. An external API response does not automatically become a TradingView feed.

It documents APIs for options exposures and related analytics. Authentication, freshness and available endpoints depend on the plan. This page does not claim identical data or methodology to SpotGamma.

No like-for-like cost conclusion is established. Compare current entitlements, data rights, usage and the exact output required. The old fixed-price savings calculation has been removed.
