Pineify vs OptiNod: TradingView Optimization and Forward Tests

OptiNod’s current developer listing documents several search methods and analysis views, while its website also describes alert-based forward testing. Pineify’s Strategy Optimizer runs an ordered parameter sweep through TradingView. Compare the actual test design and records; the old description of OptiNod as an abandoned grid-only project is not supported.

OptiNod documents more than grid search

The developer’s Chrome listing names Grid, Adaptive Grid, Random, Genetic, Bayesian and manual-list workflows. It also describes heatmaps, robustness and sensitivity views, applying saved candidates and CSV/JSON import and export. This review verifies the published scope, not the numerical quality of each implementation.

The official website distinguishes limited Free access from paid Pro passes and describes TradingView-alert forward tests. A live forward observation period is different from reusing the same historical sample. Check which features your account can access before designing the experiment.

Do not infer licensing or maintenance from a different project

This review did not establish an official GPL source repository for OptiNod. A similarly named TradingView optimizer on GitHub, or the ability to unpack a browser extension, does not establish that license. The old claims about a five-month commit gap and an unanswered maintainer message have been removed.

Check the publisher, extension identifier, current release notes and support channel for the exact tool you install. No review here establishes guaranteed future compatibility or a response-time advantage for either vendor.

Pineify’s optimizer and analysis tools have separate roles

Pineify’s extension enumerates selected strategy input values, records Strategy Tester results and exports a result table. The current workflow supports numeric ranges, checkbox states, dropdown choices and selected timeframe values. It does not require describing an implemented genetic-search or automatic multi-symbol engine.

Script drafting belongs to Pineify’s coding tools. Backtest Deep Report separately analyzes an exported backtest file and can bootstrap closed-trade P&L. That resampling does not supply new market data or prove that a selected parameter set is statistically significant.

Use a controlled comparison before selecting a tool

Start with a small grid whose rows you can reproduce manually. Keep the script, symbol, chart type, period, costs and order size fixed. Record the complete parameter set for each result, then inspect the corresponding trades rather than only the winning summary row.

For non-exhaustive search, compare the number of evaluations and stopping rules. A method may find a promising candidate without proving the global optimum. Reserve later data for confirmation and log any subsequent changes so that a forward test does not become another tuning sample.

Check access terms and avoid competing chart automation

OptiNod publishes Free limits and Pro access periods with no automatic renewal. Pineify’s current optimizer entitlement and usage terms are separate. This page does not use a permanent-free promise, a stale fixed lifetime-price table or invented savings.

If comparing two extensions, run one optimizer at a time on the test chart. Tools that both change strategy settings can interfere with one another. Preserve exports and original settings so that an interrupted run can be diagnosed.

Questions before switching

No. Its developer listing also names adaptive grid, random, genetic, Bayesian and manual-list workflows.

Its current site has Free and Pro access. This review did not verify an official open-source license or a permanent-free commitment.

No. Forward testing records later observations under a fixed rule; Monte Carlo generates outcomes under a chosen simulation or resampling model.

Do not assume that is safe or conflict-free. Run one at a time because both may change the chart’s strategy settings.

No. Check sample size, costs, nearby parameter values and later data. Historical ranking and a robustness score are not return guarantees.
