EUR/USD Support and Resistance Levels by Timeframe
EUR/USD support and resistance levels are exchange-rate zones where price has repeatedly paused, reversed, or changed role after a break. A daily zone can remain relevant for weeks, while a London-session level may expire within hours, so every level needs a timeframe and timestamp.
How Pineify helps
An eligible signed-in account can submit a readable EUR/USD screenshot for visible chart interpretation. Pineify may return support, resistance and risk notes, with unknown values where the image is unclear. Explicit pivot rules can separately be drafted as Pine Script, then reviewed and tested in TradingView.
Read every EUR/USD level with its date
A level needs a chart timestamp, interval and data source. A number quoted in a past market note is not automatically relevant to the current session. Check a fresh chart and scheduled economic releases before carrying a zone forward.
Size the zone in pips
One EUR/USD pip is 0.0001; a fifth decimal is a tenth of a pip. For an illustrative four-hour study, use 120 closed bars and a five-bar pivot: a high must exceed the highs of two closed bars on each side, and a low must be below their lows. The pivot becomes known two bars later. A custom zone with a total width of 20 pips around 1.1000 spans 1.0990–1.1010. This example is not a current quote or a recommended width. Compare it with ATR and spreads, then keep the chosen definition fixed during the test.
- Four-hour chart: define swing zones that can span several sessions.
- One-hour chart: refine the current London or New York range.
- 15-minute chart: plan execution only after the higher chart is marked.
- ATR: compare zone width with the current average candle range.
Keep session levels separate
Record the session timezone and daylight-saving convention before marking a London opening range or prior-day high and low. Do not mix those intraday labels with a daily pivot rule. Use a fixed session window so a later review can reproduce the same candles.
Pause around scheduled currency events
Scheduled ECB and Federal Reserve decisions, employment and inflation releases can change price conditions. A pre-event level does not bound the size of a later move. Pineify reads the submitted image and cannot see unreleased information or later order flow.
