QuantAnalyzer alternative: desktop trade analysis or browser reports?

QuantAnalyzer is StrategyQuant’s desktop trading-results analysis product, with Free and Pro editions. It is not Polakowo’s Python library. Pineify Backtest Deep Dive provides a browser workflow for supported trade exports, metrics and simulations. Compare import fidelity, calculation definitions and portfolio requirements before choosing.

Identify the correct product

StrategyQuant’s official QuantAnalyzer page describes a desktop application for analyzing real trading results and backtests. Its documented tools include reports, Monte Carlo simulations, what-if scenarios, money management and portfolio construction. Free and Pro editions have different limits. Do not substitute Python installation instructions or another project’s author for this product.

Start with an import reconciliation

Export a small report with known entries, exits, commissions and an overnight trade. After import, compare trade count, timestamps, net profit and currency with the original statement. Identify whether partial exits are separate trades and how open positions are handled. A chart that looks plausible does not establish correct parsing.

Match the simulation to the question

Resampling trade outcomes, changing trade order and changing position sizing answer different questions. Pineify’s current Monte Carlo calculation samples observed net trade outcomes with replacement. This is a conditional simulation of the supplied sample; it does not model unseen market regimes or prove future drawdown limits.

  • Retain starting capital, sample definition and the number of simulations.
  • Compare arithmetic and compounded returns only after aligning sizing assumptions.
  • Do not label a terminal-balance calculation as the probability of crossing a ruin threshold at any time.

Know what leaves the browser

Pineify parses supported CSV data and computes report metrics in the browser. Its optional AI analysis sends a structured summary of metrics and simulation results to a server endpoint. That distinction rules out a blanket claim that every feature is entirely local or never makes a network request. Review the actual payload and terms before submitting sensitive account information.

Portfolio analysis needs more than one report

If your decision depends on strategy correlation, portfolio allocation or money-management alternatives, test those exact requirements in QuantAnalyzer’s relevant edition. Pineify’s report analysis should not be assumed to reproduce every desktop portfolio feature. Align periods and return frequency before comparing correlation or Sharpe ratios.

Use analysis to formulate a new test

A concentration of losses at a certain hour can suggest a hypothesis, but removing those trades after seeing the outcome is a retrospective selection. Implement a proposed rule and test it on suitable unseen data. No universal minimum trade count or invented first-person performance improvement is offered as evidence.
