FinChat / Fiscal.ai alternative: compare research evidence and outputs

Fiscal.ai, formerly FinChat, provides financial research data and agent workflows. Pineify offers financial research tools alongside Pine development and market-data interfaces. Compare source coverage, access rights and a specific output. Tool counts and an unverified list of missing features cannot establish which product fits your research.

Fiscal.ai is more than a document chatbot

Its current API reference includes reported and standardized financial statements, ratios, estimates, ownership, intraday prices, filings and news. Availability depends on company coverage and plan. A count of companies in a discovery list is not the same as the number with every dataset or free access.

Current agent capabilities matter

Fiscal.ai’s MCP skills describe financial models, peer comparisons, valuation, screening, watchlist monitoring and ownership analysis. Some skills require separate plan features. Missing data due to access or coverage should not be reported as proof that no event occurred. These documented workflows contradict the older claim that Fiscal.ai is limited to static fundamental summaries.

A research comparison you can reproduce

Choose one company, one fiscal period and one question, such as why operating cash flow differs from net income. Save both answers and their sources. Check reporting currency, units, period length, restatements and whether figures are reported or adjusted. Recalculate a ratio from the cited inputs.

  • For estimates, record the forecast period and retrieval date.
  • For ownership, distinguish a transaction date from its disclosure date and a holdings snapshot from a purchase.
  • For a missing value, record whether the cause is coverage, plan access or retrieval failure.

Where Pineify adds a different workflow

Pineify’s Finance Agent can retrieve supported financial information. Market Insights provides separate plan-gated market views; the stock-picker score uses synchronized provider records and is not a guaranteed forecast. The Pine Coding Agent can turn explicit numerical rules into draft code. External research or flow records do not automatically become historical Pine inputs.

Turning research into a rule requires another validation step

Write down the input series, timestamp of availability, condition, exit rule and costs before drafting code. Inspect the script, run a syntax check and compare its behavior with the specification. A successful compile does not validate the investment thesis, and historical selection using information published later introduces look-ahead bias.

Compare current scope and total commitment

Obtain the current plan and data entitlements for each required task. This page does not claim a fixed Fiscal.ai monthly price, a Pineify lifetime data entitlement, a guaranteed payback period or measured switching demand. Keep the original source links when moving a research workflow and check export rights separately.
