Chartlog alternative: check imports, records and review tools

Chartlog.com is a trading journal with broker-specific import methods, charts and analytical reports. Pineify’s account-based Trading Journal organizes trade records and review workflows alongside separate code-development tools. Compare the import and reconciliation requirements first; neither strategy generation nor a low headline price substitutes for an accurate journal.

Verify the exact import route

Chartlog’s official integration directory distinguishes Automatic, Manual Upload and Coming Soon entries. It lists, for example, manual uploads for Interactive Brokers and Webull. Do not describe every listed broker as automatically synchronized. Confirm the current account type, export format and instrument support with the provider before moving your history.

Compare one reconciled sample

Select a small set of trades that includes a partial exit, fees and an overnight position. Match quantities, entry and exit times, commissions and realized P/L against the broker record. Check how each journal groups executions into trades. A matching total can still hide incorrectly grouped entries, so inspect both the trade count and individual rows.

Record detailQuestion to resolve
TimezoneDoes a trade fall on the intended trading day?
Partial exitsAre quantities and costs allocated consistently?
FeesIs reported P/L gross or net?
Open positionsAre unrealized and realized outcomes kept separate?
Account identityAre results combined only when you intend them to be?

Chartlog has analysis beyond chart snapshots

Its official pricing page lists strategy tracking, insights and custom reports across tiers. The journal documentation also covers risk/reward calculation and trade handling. Evaluate those tools against a question such as results by setup or holding duration rather than dismissing them as basic playback.

Pineify’s journal and coding tools are separate

The current Pineify journal requires an account and includes trade history, calendar, statistics and review areas. This comparison does not establish universal broker CSV compatibility or automatic TradingView trade synchronization. Confirm the actual intake path before purchase. The Coding Agent and visual editor can help implement a rule derived from your notes, but journal records do not automatically become a validated strategy.

Specify risk before interpreting R multiples

An R multiple requires a defined initial risk amount. If the journal record lacks that amount or uses a later stop instead, the ratio may not mean what you expect. Record how risk, fees and partial fills enter the calculation. Descriptive journal statistics do not establish that repeating a setup will produce the same outcome.

Compare plan scope and data handling

Chartlog publishes Lite, Standard and Pro plans with different reporting access and billing intervals. Check the current checkout rather than comparing guessed annual totals with an assumed lifetime Pineify entitlement. For either service, review storage, export and connected-analysis settings before uploading sensitive account records. No claim of local-only storage or automatic confidentiality is made here.
