Start with an open publication
TradingView community publications can expose their source. Choose a script with readable code and an explanation of its inputs, calculations, and limitations. Free use of a protected script does not provide its source. When a published open script is read-only, create a working copy before making changes; keep the original author and version details.
Inspect before treating code as a trading tool
Check what the script declares, which series it reads, and whether any imported library is also documented. Compare a few outputs with hand calculations or a built-in baseline. A compile success verifies neither the signal meaning nor profitability. Preserve the original file and change one behavior at a time so that a difference can be traced.
The Pineify boundary
Pineify Premium Scripts is a paid membership feature, not a free source download. Its catalog currently lists six entries, with source and tutorials opened from the app for eligible members. If the requirement is free code, begin with open community publications or documented examples. Consider a paid library only after verifying that a specific included script meets the requirement.
Check rights before sharing a modified version
Readable source does not by itself grant every reuse right. TradingView open publications use MPL 2.0 by default unless another license is specified, and publication reuse rules also apply. Check the license supplied with the exact file. This page does not assign an open-source license to the Pineify paid collection or promise unrestricted resale.
