Pine Script AI comparison

Choose an AI for your Pine Script workflow

The best fit depends on where you want to work and how you will verify the result. TradingView AI Copilot works inside the chart; Pineify provides a coding workflow with an explicit syntax-checking tool; general assistants can help draft and explain code. A useful comparison tests your actual rules and separates compilation from correct trading behavior.

Four options, with different evidence

These are documented workflow differences, checked on October 21, 2026. This page is published by Pineify. We have not run a controlled head-to-head benchmark and do not assign success rates or claim an independent ranking.

When chart integration matters

TradingView documents a built-in AI Copilot that can create Pine scripts, apply them, and discuss strategy reports. Access requires a paid TradingView plan plus a separate monthly add-on. It is available on web and desktop, not the mobile apps at the time of this review. Check the linked support page before purchasing; an existing paid chart plan alone does not include the add-on.

What Pineify checks, and what it does not

Pineify supports Pine Script v6 in its coding workflow. Ask the agent explicitly to run a syntax check after the final edit. The checker distinguishes script errors from a timeout or service failure. A response containing code is not evidence that this check ran. A successful syntax result does not establish non-repainting signals, realistic fills, or positive returns.

  • Keep the complete checked source and its returned diagnostics together.
  • After any later edit, check the new final source again.
  • Use TradingView to compare plotted values, signal bars, orders, and settings with your written requirements.

Screenshots are useful context, not a recovered algorithm

Pineify can inspect uploaded image attachments as context for its coding conversation. A screenshot can show labels, colors, plotted shapes, and some settings. It cannot uniquely determine hidden formulas, historical state, higher-timeframe requests, or order rules. Several algorithms can produce a similar picture.

  • Supply editable source when you have permission to use it.
  • Describe the intended calculations and signal timing in words.
  • Treat a visual approximation as a new implementation to test, not proof that the original code was recovered.

Compare the total cost of a usable result

Check each provider’s current plan, usage allowance, billing period, and cancellation terms. Pineify’s plan configuration includes AI allowances; a product license does not imply unlimited use of every model. Do not compare a one-time product price with another provider’s monthly AI plan without checking what each includes.

  • Include any TradingView plan, data subscription, or separate AI add-on your workflow needs.
  • Check whether generated source remains accessible and editable after cancellation.
  • Measure your own editing and testing effort instead of relying on unsupported “first-pass accuracy” percentages.

A small comparison you can reproduce

Give each candidate the same short specification and keep the model, date, settings, prompt, source, diagnostics, and corrections. Evaluate the result against expected behavior. This is a proposed test procedure, not a report of tests performed for this page.

  • Start with a simple indicator: two configurable moving averages and a marker only on the requested crossing event.
  • Then request one deliberate change, such as confirmed-bar signals, and inspect whether unrelated behavior changed.
  • For a strategy, state position sizing, exits, pyramiding, costs, and fill assumptions before comparing results.
  • Record failed runs and required corrections as well as successful ones. Choose based on your observed workflow, not a universal ranking.
