What is an Earnings Alert System?
This is a manual date list with browser reminders. It does not retrieve an earnings calendar, confirm an issuer's announcement time or send email, SMS or server push messages. Check the company's investor relations page when creating and revisiting an entry.
Create and check a reminder
- Choose Enable Notifications in a supported browser and allow this website. If permission is denied, review the browser settings; the on-page list still works.
- Add a symbol, company name and valid calendar date. BMO and AMC label announcements before market open or after market close; neither defines an exact timezone or delivery time.
- Select the reminder lead time and check the entry's bell. Entries added before permission was granted may need their bell enabled separately.
- Keep this page open and running. It checks on entry/permission changes and approximately hourly. It cannot guarantee a reminder if the device sleeps, the tab is suspended or the browser blocks notifications.
- Search by symbol/company or filter the time label. To change an entry, delete it and add its corrected details; there is no edit form or date-range filter.
- Export JSON for a structured backup or CSV for a spreadsheet. Imports append rows, so importing the same backup twice creates duplicates. CSV export escapes text for spreadsheet safety; use JSON when exact text preservation matters.
Use dates as research context
An earnings event can change expectations and prices, but a date alone does not predict direction, volatility or a trading return. Record the company's confirmation source and whether the date is tentative in Notes. This list does not calculate earnings surprises or connect a reminder to a broker order.
Storage and notification limits
Only the earnings list is stored locally by this component. The surrounding website still loads network resources and may use analytics. Local storage is not encrypted, does not sync across devices, and can be cleared by browser settings. Initial page loading is not guaranteed offline.
Reminder dates use the browser's local calendar. A reminder is sent at most once per matching entry during the current page session; reloading can show it again. This is a convenience reminder, not a reliable background alarm.

Frequently Asked Questions
Must this page remain open?
Yes. This implementation uses a page timer and the browser Notification API, not a background push service. Closing the page stops future checks; suspended tabs, permission settings and the operating system can delay or block delivery.
Where are my entries stored?
Entries are saved in this browser’s localStorage for this website. The tool does not fetch earnings dates or upload your imported list. This is not encryption or a promise that the website has no analytics. Clearing site data, private-browsing rules or storage failures can remove entries; export a backup.
How do I import a backup?
Use a JSON array exported by this tool, or CSV headers Symbol, Company, EarningsDate, Time, Notes and AlertDays. Symbol and a valid YYYY-MM-DD date are required. Time may be BMO, AMC or Unknown; AlertDays must be a whole number from 1 to 30. Imports append entries and do not deduplicate companies.
How are reminder days interpreted?
Reminders compare your browser’s local calendar date with the entered YYYY-MM-DD date. The form offers 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days; imports accept whole values from 1 to 30. BMO and AMC are descriptive labels, not a market-timezone scheduler or an exact notification time.
Can I change a date or add multiple reminders?
There is no edit form or multiple-alert field. Delete and re-add an entry to change it. Separate entries can represent different reminders for the same company. After granting permission, check that each entry’s bell is enabled.
What happens after the earnings date?
Past dates appear in the Past Earnings section; they are not moved to a separate archive. They remain in local storage and exports until deleted. Entries dated today remain in the upcoming list for the local calendar day.
