A Structured Review of Your Own Answers

A questionnaire can prompt you to describe a habit. It cannot establish whether you followed that habit in a difficult market. This tool asks about independence, responses to commentary, contrarian ideas, media, sentiment cycles, and self-awareness. Treat each answer as a claim to check against your own records.

How to Use the Results

  1. Choose a recent period and use it consistently when answering all 30 questions.
  2. Select the response closest to what you actually did or believed. An answer is not a recommended action.
  3. Read each category mean alongside its five questions. Higher and lower means summarize different reported responses.
  4. Pick one response and find a dated example that supports it and another that challenges it.
  5. Export the latest summary if you want a separate record. Up to ten summaries remain in this browser.

The Calculation and Its Limits

Each answer contributes 1 to 5 points. Five answers of 2, 3, 4, 4, and 5 give a category mean of 3.6. The overall mean averages all six category means with equal weight. Values display to one decimal place; there are no validated thresholds or comparisons with a reference population. When categories tie, the summary lists all of them.

The questions combine habits, confidence, and beliefs, so the combined number is only a descriptive shortcut. Some responses favor contrarian methods or sentiment analysis. Those preferences are not evidence of better investment decisions. A price decline does not establish a buying opportunity, and a sentiment label does not establish a future market turning point.

Saved Progress and History

Unfinished answers and up to ten summaries use this browser's localStorage. There is no account sync or JSON import. Clearing site data can remove your records. Historical numerical results are preserved; descriptions now summarize reported answers without assigning a psychological archetype.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does this questionnaire measure?

It summarizes how you describe your own habits and beliefs in 30 questions across six topics. It does not observe your trades, test market predictions, or measure investment performance.

How are the numbers calculated?

Each answer has a value from 1 to 5. A category is the arithmetic mean of its five answers. The overall number is the mean of all six categories, equivalent to averaging all 30 answers. Results display one decimal place. There are no population benchmarks or validated pass marks.

Does a higher score mean I am a better trader?

No. The questions mix reported habits, confidence, and beliefs, and some favor a contrarian style. Those are different concepts. A higher mean only reflects higher-numbered answers; it does not prove better judgment, lower risk, or profitable trading.

Is this a validated psychological assessment?

No. Pineify has not established reliability, validity, or predictive accuracy for this questionnaire. Use it as a set of reflection prompts. It is not a diagnostic instrument, suitability test, or basis for choosing a position size.

Where are my answers and results saved?

This tool saves unfinished answers and up to ten result summaries in localStorage in this browser. It does not sync them to your Pineify account. Clearing site data can remove them, and blocked storage can prevent saving. Export downloads the latest summary as JSON; there is no import feature.

Turn a Written Rule into a Testable Strategy

If your review produces a specific entry or exit rule, Pineify can help express it in Pine Script for testing on TradingView. The questionnaire score itself is not a trading signal.
