Pineify vs Build Alpha: Rule Authoring and Strategy Search

Build Alpha searches strategy combinations and exports code, including TradingView Pine Script. Pineify helps draft or visually assemble specified trading rules. Choose between discovering candidate rules and implementing rules you already understand; both workflows still require careful testing.

Build Alpha can generate Pine Script

Build Alpha documents a no-code strategy-building process with a Generate Pine Script export. It also lists MetaTrader and other export targets. Its custom-indicator tools include drag-and-drop construction; describing it as manual Pine coding without a visual editor is inaccurate.

Check the specific export target and supported features before buying. Source that compiles on another platform can still produce different trades because of data, sessions, costs and execution assumptions.

Compare the work you want to automate

Build Alpha’s strategy discovery uses a genetic search with configurable rules, exits and fitness criteria. Its documented evaluation tools include out-of-sample testing and Monte Carlo analysis. This serves a different task from asking an AI assistant to implement a written rule.

Pineify offers coding agents and a visual Pine builder. Write down signal timing, sizing and exits, then inspect the resulting source. A screenshot can communicate visible behavior but cannot reveal a proprietary indicator’s exact hidden formula.

Keep code generation separate from execution

Pineify’s Pine workflow produces source to use in TradingView. It does not run natively inside TradingView merely because the code targets Pine. MT4 uses MQL4 and MT5 uses MQL5; select the matching coding agent and compiler.

Build Alpha’s website lists platform exports and live monitoring, while describing direct execution inside Build Alpha as coming soon. Verify the current status of the exact execution workflow you require instead of treating a roadmap item as an available broker integration.

Inspect candidates before deploying them

Use a fixed dataset and untouched evaluation period. Record how many rules and parameters were searched, account for costs, and compare individual trades after export. Testing many candidates raises selection risk even if the selected result looks strong.

Test the chosen platform in a suitable demo or forward workflow. A successful compile, Monte Carlo result or attractive historical chart does not establish future profitability.

Use current licensing terms

Build Alpha’s official licensing page currently advertises a lifetime licence and says it does not offer a free trial; demos are available. Check the live price and terms rather than relying on an assumed $20–$50 monthly subscription.

Pineify’s plan page describes its own features and allowances. Compare the required coding or testing functions, not a supposed equivalent tier or an unmeasured time-saving claim.

Questions before switching

Yes. Its official Pine Script guide documents code generation for TradingView. It should not be described as requiring users to write every strategy manually.

Yes. Its website describes drag-and-drop custom-indicator tools. Compare the particular rules and indicators you need rather than treating all visual editors as equivalent.

No. A picture does not disclose a protected formula or all state and timing rules. Supply a permitted source or a written specification, and treat visual approximation as an approximation.

Not necessarily. Data feeds, sessions, order semantics and cost assumptions can differ. Compare signals and fills on the target platform after compilation.

Neither. Strategy search and AI drafting are tools for producing candidates, not evidence of future returns. Validate the rule and its operational assumptions independently.

Research and historical trade analysis do not establish future performance. Check source records and assumptions before relying on a result.
