Market Cipher vs VuManChu: Access, Source and Signal Checks

VuManChu Cipher B + Divergences is an open-source TradingView community publication. Market Cipher B is a separate vendor product with invite-only account access. Similar oscillator plots do not establish identical formulas, signals or authorship. This comparison identifies the specific publication and access model; it does not report a paid trial or measured trading results.

This is Pineify’s comparison, not an independent speed, accuracy, or return benchmark. Check current plans and the exact functions you need.

Identify the publication before comparing it

The linked VuManChu publication is by the author vumanchu and is explicitly marked open-source. It can be used free, with republication subject to TradingView rules and the applicable license. Its visible release history includes October 2023 fixes and customization changes; the author then said the focus was on other indicators. That is a documented maintenance note, not a guarantee of future updates or proof that the script no longer works.

Market Cipher’s own site describes B as an oscillator package. Its support guide explains access through a linked TradingView username and the Invite-Only Scripts list. This establishes a different distribution route; it does not establish that the community script contains the vendor’s proprietary source or fully reproduces its signals.

Separate live-bar movement from changes to historical signals

A moving average changing while the current candle is open does not, by itself, prove that confirmed historical signals change after the bar closes. Higher-timeframe requests, pivot confirmation, plotting into the past, changed inputs and data revisions require separate examination. Avoid treating every movement of a live plot as the same defect.

Use the exact script version, chart type, symbol feed, timeframe and settings. Record the bar when each signal first becomes available and compare after reloading. Check alert timestamps separately from where a marker is drawn. Bar Replay can help inspect history but does not reproduce every realtime update, so it cannot alone establish live reliability.

No 100-bar sample, 12% disappearing-signal rate, 15% reliability advantage or BTC/ETH paid-product trial is presented here. Those figures require preserved observations and a reproducible method. A higher timeframe does not automatically make a timing error harmless.

Compare cost and support without a trading-return claim

The named VuManChu publication has no access charge. A TradingView plan or data feed can still add cost. For Market Cipher, use the official current package, term and renewal conditions; an old monthly figure is not a reliable quote. Neither a subscription nor a single profitable trade proves that a purchase pays for itself.

If support is required, ask about the exact script and intended use. Do not infer response speed or future compatibility from brand size. For an open-source script, inspect the available code and release notes; if you change it, validate the final version and keep the original for comparison.

Where Pineify fits

Pineify offers script development tools and an access-controlled Premium Scripts source-and-tutorial workflow. Consider those when you want to inspect a supplied script or develop your own rules. They are not evidence that every Pineify signal is non-repainting, that its formulas match Market Cipher, or that it improves returns.

Whichever tool you choose, define entry, exit, sizing and risk rules before evaluating performance. Include costs and separate validation data. An oscillator display is not itself a complete tested trading strategy.

Questions before switching

Yes. The specific linked TradingView publication is marked open-source. This contradicts claims that neither product permits source inspection. Similar names on other publications do not establish the same code or license.

No. It is a separate community publication. Similar plots or concepts do not establish identical code, authorized distribution of the paid product, or equivalent signals.

No such conclusion follows merely from using moving averages. Live-bar recalculation, unconfirmed external data and delayed or backward-plotted markers are distinct behaviors. Inspect the exact implementation and record when information becomes available.

Check current indicator, alert and data limits for your setup. Script access and platform features are separate. A free script or paid vendor license does not remove TradingView limits.

No controlled return comparison is provided. Test explicit rules on aligned data with costs and a separate validation period; do not use visual similarity, price or testimonials as a substitute.

Sources and product details

Research and historical trade analysis do not establish future performance. Check source records and assumptions before relying on a result.
