TradingView Strategy Tester CSV Export Analysis
Export a TradingView trade list to review its equity curve, drawdowns, and distribution of outcomes. Record the symbol, date range, costs, position sizing, and initial capital used in the test.
TradingView already offers a detailed strategy report. Pineify adds a separate CSV review workflow with bootstrap scenario analysis. These scenarios describe assumptions about past trades; they do not validate future profitability. Personal CSV import requires Advanced or above.
What to Check in the Exported Sample
TradingView provides the original strategy report. Pineify offers a separate workflow for inspecting exported trades, calculation assumptions and bootstrap scenarios.
Inspect the imported trades
Review net P&L, trade counts, equity, drawdown, and risk-adjusted metrics together. A valid calculation still depends on complete input data and appropriate assumptions.
Bootstrap scenario analysis
Resample observed trade P&L to inspect simulated drawdowns and terminal equity. Missing market regimes and trade dependence remain limitations of this model.
Browser-side calculations
Parse supported trade CSVs and calculate the report in your browser. Inspect the parsed trade list and reconcile it with the original file; successful parsing does not establish complete or valid data.
Advanced plan or above
Personal CSV import is available from Advanced. Signed-in demo data is a separate workflow. Follow the pricing link for current terms and confirm your entitlement.
Reconcile Before Interpreting
Export the trade list rather than a metrics summary. Preserve the original file and compare a known trade, paired trade count, dates, currency and total net P&L. The parser uses English headers and the first entry/exit pair per trade number. Partial exits, localized columns and missing values can change the resulting observations without stopping import.
Set initial capital and direction explicitly. The equity curve adds cash outcomes in entry-sorted order; some ratios instead use trade return percentages. These are different observation series from a daily marked-to-market account. Rerun Monte Carlo after changing sample or capital: it is not automatically recalculated by those changes.
Read the official CSV export steps and the Excel workbook scope and reconciliation guide. The workbook can combine all-trade sheets with direction-filtered calendar and rolling summaries; check each sheet before sharing.
Pineify vs. TradingView Built-in Report

| Sharpe and Sortino ratios | Available; review calculation assumptions | Available in the strategy report |
| Bootstrap Monte Carlo | 1,000 paths; historical P&L resampling | Use a separate scenario-analysis workflow |
| Trade detail | Imported CSV and distributions | List of trades and report charts |
| Access | Personal CSV import: Advanced or above | Features and export availability depend on TradingView plan |

Metrics to Review with Your Trade Data
Five views of the imported sample, each interpreted alongside its assumptions.
Equity Curve Analysis
Review the equity curve calculated from imported trade P&L and compare it with the drawdown series. Check initial capital and trade ordering before interpreting the path.
Risk-Adjusted Return Metrics
Review Sharpe, Sortino and Calmar ratios alongside the sample period and calculation assumptions. Historical ratios do not determine whether a strategy will succeed in live trading.
Historical Drawdown
Compare maximum drawdown and the drawdown series with the underlying trades. An observed decline is a sample statistic, not a bound on future losses.
Win/Loss Distribution
Review the outcome distribution, average winning and losing trades, and extreme outcomes together. A win rate alone omits the size of gains and losses.
Bootstrap Equity Paths
The report displays bootstrap equity paths based on observed trade P&L. Percentiles summarize this simulation model, not a guaranteed range for future markets. Trade dependence, omitted regimes, and selection bias remain outside this simple resampling model.
Access and plan requirements
Personal CSV import requires Advanced or above. Review the current plan details and confirm the import entitlement before purchasing. The signed-in demo uses supplied example data.

Backtest Deep Report calculates equity, drawdown, trade distributions, risk-adjusted metrics, and bootstrap Monte Carlo scenarios from a supported TradingView trade CSV. Check the imported trade count, currency, initial capital, and date range before interpreting the results.
TradingView already provides performance and risk metrics. Pineify adds a separate CSV review workflow with trade distributions, bootstrap scenarios, and report export. Neither report proves that a strategy will be profitable on unseen data.
The current implementation samples historical net trade P&L with replacement and constructs 1,000 simulated equity paths. Drawdown and return percentiles describe that empirical model. They do not establish a future win probability, remove selection bias, or prove that optimized parameters have an edge. Keep a separate out-of-sample period and account for trading costs.
Use a supported TradingView List of Trades export. The current parser expects English Trade # and Type headers and entry/exit labels. It pairs the first entry and exit for each trade number; partial exits need reconciliation. Missing net P&L can become zero, and missing dates can receive a fallback timestamp. Compare source records, dates and totals before relying on the report.
CSV parsing and the metric calculations run in the browser. Processing time depends on the file and device. Optional AI interpretation sends derived metrics and summaries to a server; raw trade and equity arrays are omitted from that request. Browser-side calculations do not mean the signed-in product operates entirely offline.
Personal CSV import requires a signed-in account with Advanced or a higher plan. The report also offers demo data; that does not grant access to personal-file import. Check current pricing and your account entitlement before purchasing.
