TradingView Backtest Analyzer with Trade-Level Metrics
TradingView already reports profit, drawdown and risk metrics. A separate trade-list review helps you inspect which trades drive the result, how losses cluster, and how the equity path depends on the observed sample.
Import a TradingView List of trades CSV into Pineify Backtest Deep Report with Advanced or higher access. Check the parsed trades and settings, then review browser-calculated metrics and bootstrap simulations.
Trade-Level Metrics in Every Analysis
Sharpe Ratio
Uses trade percentages and trade-frequency annualization. Align the risk-free input and return period before comparing platform values.
Sortino Ratio
Uses negative trade percentages in its downside denominator. It differs from formulas that divide target deviations by every observation.
Profit Factor
Gross profit divided by gross loss in the imported sample; it does not establish a future edge.
Equity Drawdown
Accumulated trade cash P&L in entry-sorted order; overlapping exits and intratrade floating losses are not reconstructed.
Expectancy
Average dollar value per trade taken.
Consecutive Win/Loss
Observed positive and negative streaks in parsed trade order. These are not forecasts or a psychological assessment.
Average Win vs Loss
Compare average winning and losing trade P&L in the imported sample.
Average Trade Duration
Mean duration across included trade records. Missing timestamps, open positions and partial exits require separate checks.
Net Profit %
Net imported cash P&L divided by the configured initial capital. Verify currency, capital and selected sample.
Three Steps to Your Analysis
Run Your Backtest on TradingView
Run the strategy and export its trade data. Preserve XLSX if that is the offered format, then convert the trade worksheet to compatible CSV if needed. Record symbol, interval, dates, capital, commission and slippage.
Upload to Pineify
Sign in with Advanced or higher access and import the CSV. Check the parsed trade count and capital settings before running the browser-based analysis.
Get Your Deep Report
Review metrics, equity drawdown and bootstrap paths. Optional AI analysis sends a report summary; manual holdout testing remains a separate step.
Check the Import Before the Ratios
- Confirm the file type. The parser requires recognized Trade # and Type columns and groups entry and exit rows by trade ID. A metrics summary or parameter-search CSV is a different dataset.
- Inspect partial exits. The current parser uses the first entry and first exit in each trade-ID group. Multiple rows are not automatically a complete partial-fill ledger. Compare a known trade and document any conversion before relying on aggregate totals.
- Check missing values. Some missing numeric fields fall back to zero, and missing timestamps can use a current-time fallback. An accepted import is not proof of complete data. Verify prices, quantities, P&L, timestamps and excursion fields against the original export.
- State the sample. Decide whether to include open trades, select long, short or all trades, and confirm initial capital. The curve uses entry order; use separately reconstructed account equity for overlapping exits or floating exposure.
If counts or totals disagree, stop interpreting the ratios and investigate the source rows. A screenshot or missing price history cannot be repaired by adding more derived metrics. Optional AI interpretation sends a report summary and does not independently resolve a parsing discrepancy.
Source and Capability Checks
TradingView documents per-tab CSV export and the current report, XLSX export and simulation assumptions. Pineify parser, access, metrics, bootstrap and optional AI-request behavior were checked on October 21, 2026. No live performance or speed benchmark is implied.
Frequently Asked Questions
Use a compatible TradingView trade-list CSV. If the report exports XLSX, save the trade worksheet as CSV and reconcile it first; Pineify does not directly parse the workbook. Summary metrics, screenshots and optimization-result tables cannot supply individual entry and exit records.
Backtest Deep Report requires a signed-in account with Advanced or higher access. TradingView has its own built-in strategy report. A free TradingView report and Pineify paid CSV analysis are different products.
CSV parsing and metric calculations run in the browser. If you request the optional AI analysis, a report summary is sent for that analysis; the browser-calculation workflow should not be described as a promise that no data ever leaves the device.
The implementation samples historical trade P&L with replacement, using 1,000 simulations by default. It adds cash outcomes independently, with no position resizing or dependence model. Some trades repeat or disappear, and the ruin statistic checks final equity only. Percentiles are conditional model results, not probabilities of future profit.
No. Parsing confirms only that the file can be interpreted by this workflow. Compare trade IDs, counts and net P&L, inspect missing fields and partial exits, then check simulation costs and a separate evaluation period. Neither a chart nor a bootstrap report verifies the strategy code or fills.
TradingView already provides performance and risk metrics, including Sharpe and Sortino ratios. Pineify offers a separate CSV-based review workflow with trade-level analysis and bootstrap simulation; calculation conventions can differ.
Analyze Your Exported Trades
Use Advanced or higher access to inspect a trade-list CSV. Keep the original TradingView settings with the report so the result can be reproduced.
