What is a Trading Goal Progress Dashboard?
A Trading Goal Progress Dashboard is a comprehensive performance tracking tool that helps traders monitor their progress toward specific trading objectives. This free dashboard allows you to set profit targets, win rate goals, and risk management limits while visualizing your actual trading performance through interactive charts and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Unlike simple profit/loss trackers, our dashboard calculates advanced metrics like profit factor, maximum drawdown, average win/loss ratios, and ROI—giving you a complete picture of your trading performance. All data is stored locally in your browser, ensuring complete privacy and security.

Understanding Key Trading Metrics
Profit Factor
The ratio of gross profit to gross loss. A profit factor above 2.0 is considered excellent, while 1.5-2.0 is good. Below 1.0 indicates a losing strategy.
Win Rate
Percentage of winning trades. While important, a high win rate doesn't guarantee profitability if average losses exceed average wins.
Maximum Drawdown
The largest peak-to-trough decline in account value. Essential for risk management and determining if your strategy is sustainable.
ROI (Return on Investment)
The percentage return on your initial capital. Helps you compare your trading performance against alternative investments.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my trading data secure?
Yes! All your trading data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is uploaded to our servers or any third-party services. Your data never leaves your device.
Can I access my data on different devices?
Since data is stored locally, it's specific to each browser/device. Use the Export function to create a JSON file, then Import it on another device to sync your data.
What file formats can I import?
Currently, the dashboard supports JSON format for imports. You can export your data to JSON and re-import it later. CSV import support is planned for future updates.
How is profit factor calculated?
Profit factor is calculated by dividing the sum of all winning trades by the absolute value of all losing trades. A profit factor of 2.0 means you make $2 for every $1 you lose.
Can I delete individual trades?
Yes! In the Trades tab, each trade has a delete button (trash icon) in the Actions column. Click it to remove a specific trade from your history.
Does this tool support crypto or forex trading?
Yes! The dashboard is asset-agnostic. You can track trades for stocks, options, futures, forex, cryptocurrencies, or any other tradable instruments. Just enter the symbol and trade details.
